Question WRX and US Aftermarket?

The new WRX for the U.S might finally be the car to allow me to give my MR2 turbo a well deserved rest. But does anyone know if there are any aftermarket efforts currently underway in this country to boost the output of the Americanized EJ-20?

It will be basically the same as the European model. So any aftermarket parts available there will work on the US model. The aftermarket on the previous gen Impreza turbo was huge in Europe, so expect the same for the new one. I'd expect the US tuners to start making performance parts for the EJ20 once it goes on sale here as well. So don't worry, the aftermarket will be huge for the our WRX.

Edit, and not to mention STI parts that will hopefully be available through Subaru dealers in the USA. If not though, the STI parts from Japan and Europe can easily be ordered.

Even if *somehow* they fail to bring over lots of parts for it, it is a fairly simple task to make and adapt parts to work. I don't think there is a single "real" aftermarket part for the 85-90 turbos yet there are many that are now moderately modified.
