Default Rockblocker paint protection (Call to Forester owners in Portland, OR)

Folks,
I haven't talked to Chad (RockBlocker) yet, but if there are enough members here in Portland, OR(Hillsboro, Beaverton, Tigard etc) maybe we can ask them to arrange a visit to Portland on a weekend where we can schedule professional installation of clear bra.
Chad, if there are at least 4 members here in Portland, would you be willing to arrange an on-site (or meet at a location) install for us?

Forester owners, please post here if you are interested and let's hope Chad will be able to do something for us if our count reaches a reasonable number like 4.

If this does not work, I will probably make a trip to Seattle and hope that there are no chips by the time I reach Seattle.
Thanks,
-Jai

I am totally down for this!!! I could come down for a day and have a little installfest at someone's house. Here is what we would need to start with

- A garage is a must to have
- Water supply
- Power supply
- Tank of gas divided by four=$5-6.00
- Lunch would be nice

Four cars is a good number that could be done in a day if they were all lined up one after another. It does not have to be all Forester's. If we mixed and matched typs of cars that is fine with me as long as it isnt 2 motorhomes or something like that in one day. Maybe it could be a little BBQ day too and everyone could hang out and chat.

Depending on what types of cars and packages are needed we can work a group price for everyone.

You may want to post this is in the NW thread where there is a lot more traffic in case others would like to jump on this too unless you want it to be a Forester event only.

Let me know where are at.

Thanks for thinking of me.

Default Count me in

Count me in, as well.

I just received my kit from Chad...if the install day will happen fairly soon, I'll hold off on my install.

Ok, now we have 3 and looks like this is going to be a fun time too!

Current count...
1. Justin
2. Jai
3. Zep

April 17th (Saturday) looks like a good time and I can open our home for this event. Haven't talked to my wife yet, but I think she should be fine with it. It is a small house, so a count of 3 (what we have now) would be ideal. 4 maybe a bit too crowded considering the small driveway. I can prepare a BBQ for your guys.

- A garage is a must to have - Yes
- Water supply - Yes
- Power supply - Yes
- Tank of gas divided by four=$5-6.00 - Yes
- Lunch would be nice - Yes

Is it a go? Say yes, and we have a plan.
If needed we can move it earlier, to April 10th (Saturday).

Justin and Zep, please PM me your email address. If we start at 10:00 in the morning on a Saturday, we should be done by late afternoon.

I too could host things. I'm in NE Portland. I can do a Saturday however, I work most Saturday's noon-4PM so I'd have to be the last guy in line of four. April 10 is fine with me.

Okay guys

We can make something happen here since there are 3 and I might have a fourth out of Salem if i can remember his board name or number.

For those without kits we would need to get them to you. Are you guys going with full kits?? Zep, I see you have yours. Is it a full kit?? Sorry I dont know you real name.

Full kit installs go for $150 per car install, but I will do each one for $100.00 plus the cost of the kit. Light kits are free install with $42.95 purchase for the headlight and fog light kit.

The Soonest I can get down there is the 17th of April. I have to many commitments over the next two weeks and car shows on the weekends.

If this works for you guys let me know and I will mark it down on my calendar.

Talk to you soon

Chad

I'm in 100% for a full kit. I already have a headlight/foglight kit and I need the headlights put on.

I can make it happen any Saturday, however, April 17th is probably the worst for me since I've got a spec miata race at PIR. How about Sundays???

Lets make this work guys...Any more people with Foresters in PDX that wants to do this??? Glad you thought of this Jai.

I am in for the full kit too with headlight/foglight. April 17th looks good and if Justin can't make it we can postpone it to the Saturday after that (April 24th). I am so glad that you guys agreed to this .
Thanks,
-Jai

April 24th.

I need a full paint protection kit for an XT (comes with the hood scoop right?).

I already have your headlight/foglight kit and need you to put on the headlight stuff.

Should I just wash the car? Should I use bug/tar remover on the hood and bumpers? Should I wax it?

I will happily donate my nice garage in NE Portland with water/electricity, and my bar-b-que grill for some mean ribs/sausage/etc.

Lets get this together guys.

Thanks,
Justin Wade

April 24th looks good.
I need full paint protection for an 04 XT (with hood scoop) and also the headlight/foglight kit.

Justin is in NE Portland and I am in NW Portland. It is about 30 mins drive for me if it is going to be in Justin's place. Considering
that he is closer to I-5, it maybe easier for Chad coming from Seattle. I am ok driving to Justin's place so just let me know what my time slot is and I will be there.
Justin please confirm. I will try to get in touch with Zep and see if this works for him.
Thanks,
-Jai

Alright the 24th it is. I can be there around 11:00. Justin I will need your address and phone number in case I get lost. You can email the info at chad@rockblocker.com.

Justin - Full kit for the XT ( yes it comes with the hood scoop )
Jai - Full kit for the XT with headlight kit
Zep - Already has the kit.

Is this correct from what I am seeing here?

It is on my calendar so I will be there.

Any questions or anything email me.

Thanks

Chad

I would like to take a moment to thank

Justin for the use of the garage. His wife for lunch

Jai, Ric and Justin for the business. It was great to come down yesterday for allowing me to install the RockBlocker clear bra full kits with lights on all three cars. It was really a pleasure to met each one of you and get to know the Forester XT more.

I cant wait to see what you guys do next to your vehicles. DId I mention the great weather yesterday. It was a very good ride home with drive roads and not much traffic

Thanks again and enjoy your great cars.

Default Thank you

I would like to thank Chad for accomodating our request and his outstanding work of art! I feel a lot more confident while driving, knowing that the paint in vulnerable areas is safe now.

Thanks to Justin and his wife for opening their home for us. I enjoyed talking about audio (my hobby) . I hope you get the differential problem fixed.

Ric, didn't geta chance to meet you (some other time) and thank you for joining us.

Good luck Chad and you have my vote if anyone in my circle is looking for paint protection.

Regards,
-Jai

Chad does great work--wow. Thanks for working us all in, Chad, and it was a pleasure to meet you.

Justin, thanks again for hosting our install day. I want to see your wild Volvo/LS1 project car, once it completes, OK?

Jai, meet you another time, for sure.

Thanks for the thanks guys. Too bad I had to work for part of it.

Chad certainly did a great job and I'm sure saved me a PITA.

Certainly was a nice day in the weather department.
