Post OT: Anyone spare $45k for a Ferrari 360 Modena F1?

I HAD to post this here... this is just insane.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/aw-cg...item=500091799

Like I said in the MidWest forum where RAO posted this... If I were the driver this would have definetly caused me some irreversible psychological damage if it were my car...

Maybe it was run over by some soccer mom in an Excursion or something. Doesn't really look like it was rolled.

$45k huh. You could make one sweet ass street rod or muscle car G machine with that. Kinda fitting with the v8 and all. Mid engine Mustang Mach1 with Ferrari drivetrain, chasis, brakes etc. I wonder if there are any good old 308 shells around.

jaybird,

My old man has a 308. Doubt he'd be willing to shell out $45k for an engine transplant though.

Not to mention that'd be a hell of a time trying to retro-fit it!!!

I would say that that is a good price for the engine and tranny. The tranny if still good is a $10k option. I wonder if that will fit in the RS

If that was my car, I don't think I would have been able to handle having it in that shape. Probably would have demanded to be buried in the remains and then killed myself
