That's what I'm thinking as well.

Greg e-mailed you last week regarding this order. As far as I know the springs you ordered are not available.

I know these are some old reply's and may never be read but thought Id write of my recent experience.
Ive bought a few things from you guys and have had no problems, but recently I purchased a JDM part and never got any info on the order except telling me what I just did. A month later I call to find out what was going on and am told the item is on back order, which is fine, and that you shipment is coming in and itll be sent out next week. Three more weeks pass (still with no communication) I call back and am given about the same story.
I understand that these JDM parts are often on back order but I had to call three different times over two and a half mothes to find out what was going on. I finally cancelled and bought from a different vendor. Your communication (at least in my experience) could have been alot better.
But like I stated earlier, your service has been good in the past and will probly buy from again unless something like this happens again.

JDM parts ...not much we can do about it sometimes. If you want a JDM STi or Subaru part you're going to have to wait regardless. When the parts do arrive they're typically pre-sold and/or do not last more then a week on the shelf.

However, we've made a lot of changes as far as bringing these parts in from overseas. We bring in over 20k worth of items at a time each month. Sometimes there are products missing from our container because of backorders or mistakes abroad, but there's nothing more we can do to keep this from happening. Waiting sucks...period...but in this market timing is everything.

My suggestion, and this is not only to you but other people, is to simply be patient...the item WILL come in. If you are not a patient person then ordering parts from overseas isn't recommended...sooner or later you'll have to wait. In the past I've had customers cancel last minute and then two days later the item they ordered, and waited 6 weeks for, arrives. Chances are this is what's happening here because our next container is sitting in customs at JFK int'l airport today (2/23) and should be released shortly.

Anthony,
Have you guys received my rear 2pots back from the post office? I would think 2 months would be plenty of time for a round trip.

Anthony,

I purchased a Greddy Evo 2 from you a long time ago and I love it. But my question is that I wanted to know if you sell any axlebacks or if there are any axlebacks out there that will mate to the Greddy Evo 2 midpipe... Just wondering cause there are days i wish the greddy was a lil louder.. Thanks

Screwed by Mauro for the second time...

I said it would the last time, last time... but gave them one more shot. I ordered a Perrin turbo inlet pipe, which if you look on their web site, they say is "in stock". Doesn't that mean they have some ready to ship? For most companies, yes. For them it means order it and we'll try and locate one when we get around to it or when you bug us. Nobody attempted to contact me to tell me it was out of stock. I called two days later for the tracking number (as I ordered 2 day delivery) and was told they were out of stock, but they can drop ship it from Perrin and have it to me by Friday. It's Friday and both UPS and Fedex have driven by my house and not stopped. Sooooo... thanks for messing up my weekend. I could have ordered from someone that didn't lie about inventories and been working on my car. Instead I guess I'll twiddle my thumbs.

And of course, I did receive an email after I placed my ordered that linked to my invoice on their web page and it says "Order Status: Will ship within 24 hours". Um... cough. I really came close to not ordering from you after my last (almost identical issue) order, but thought maybe last time was an accident. This time just shows incompetence and an outright lie (web site says part is in stock, invoice says shipping within 24 hours, on phone two days later and told I'd have it by Friday). GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR.

If you read my reply, the waiting wasnt my major problem. It was the lack of communication. Your site states that if an item is on back order, that I should have received an email, which I didnt. Then, like I stated earlier I was told that my item was going to shipped out "the following wednesday". Once that changed, I should have been notified that the item wasnt going to be shipped for whatever reason and maybe given a rough ballpark figure at what kind of time I was looking at. Like I said communication was the problem, not waiting and that is why I cancelled the order. To your benefit, the person I spoke with on the phone was very kind and gave me the option of waiting or cancelling with no hassle. When you have $300 dollars floating around out there, its nice to know where things stand. I hope this clears up my gripe a little better.
Id also like to state again that Ive been overall pleased with your buisness. Just this one issue I think maybe you could improve on.
Thank you
Travis

I ordered something that the website said was in stock, and it wasn't in stock. They attempted to have the vendor drop-ship directly to me and that fell through. I didn't recieve replies to half of my attempts to contact them, and of those I did receive only two were prompt.

When I was able to get some info out of them they were nice and courteous. I've been ripped off before, and this was definately not that. I think they have a hard time keeping their online storefront up to date, they don't like to keep a lot of stock on hand, and they don't have enough people to answer emails and phone calls.

I think they would make excellent ebay sellers - they could cut the cost of maintaining the webpage, and they could eliminate the difficulties involved with keeping track of their stock. If they got it on hand, you can buy it on ebay. If not, then you can't buy it on ebay, simple as that.

The part I was trying to source was Prodrive springs - after not seeing them for three weeks I went and ordered them from Oakos and they were on my doorstep within three business days.

No way...not a chance. Try going from $100k in sales 4 years ago to over $1 million in 2005...we need more employees, more phone lines, and more room for inventory. It's not easy growing this fast...so if you have recommendations simply tell us and we'll do our best to make things better...there's only so much we can change overnight!

I am getting married in May and soon after I'm getting a bigger place so we can stop dealing with these rediculous complaints, delayed shipments, drop shipments, and all of the other crap I've dealt with in the last few months.

If you have a problem you need to e-mail ME or call ME...enough said!

Anthony@mauromotorsports.com < --- I answer EVERY e-mail that arrives in my inbox so send the questions my way...or complaints too if you feel it's necessary.

If you're waiting for a part that's been delayed then we'll expedite it at our expense...if you're just complaining because we couldn't ship a part you ordered and have been credited or were never charged...then I don't know what the problem is.

The phone is right here in front of me so if there are problems you need to call. Adam and I are running the show by ourselves today so either one of us can help you out if you are in desperate need.

Cheers,

Anthony

This was overnighted at OUR expense and we never even charged you ANY shipping costs because of the delay. That's not enough though I guess. Outright lie? 99% of the time this part is on our shelf and ready to go. Cut us some slack Mr. Root. We've spoken to you on the phone and we've told you we're doing what we can for you on this order.

You guys are always nice on the phone. No complaints about phone manors.

However, you kept telling me it would ship. On wednesday of last week when I called, you said I'd have it by last Friday. And it never showed up.

When was it overnighted? Cause I don't have it. Yesterday on the phone I said if you didn't supply me with a tracking number by 5pm, that I wanted the order cancelled. You said "that is fair". I never heard from you. Are you saying you shipped it last night and didn't call me back with the tracking number?

I think the number one problem is that you guys don't communicate with your customers.

Edit: 99% of the time is fine. I accept that parts do go out of stock, but I've never had a company not inform me of that within 24 hours of the order being placed. I had to call you two days later in order to find that out. Why didn't you tell me? Why did I have to call you?

We're frustrated as much as you are...remember we paid for the part too! Do you think I want to lose a set of 2-pot brakes? The box was being returned to us the last time we looked into it. When it arrives then one of us will contact you. What more can we do?

Don't get testy!!!!! I called today just to get a status because I haven't in the past. Also, I thought that this original post was already dealt with. I am not one of your irate customers and I have not been flaming you, I was just checking up to see if you had heard anything so please do not get testy with me. I understand that you have paid for the part but you have also been paid by me and I am now the one waiting around for a $900 part. I believe I have been pretty patient and I still am quietly waiting so excuse me for calling and disturbing you, all I wanted was an update on if you had heard anything.

First let me apologize for the phones becaue noone is in the office right now after the snow storm we just had.

I'm guessing this is Carl? Didn't Adam or Greg speak to you last week (Thursday or Friday) about this? The package is on it's way back to us because it was denied overseas for whatever reason. I don't know if it was a customs issue or a weight issue, but we should have the 2-pots back here shortly. I don't think anyone told you the item was actually returned, but it is on its way back to us now. These were shipped quite a while ago...so please do not hold us responsible for this. It's an expensive package that we do not want to lose just as bad as you.

As you know we cannot track shipments through the USPS when shipping to an APO. We were however able to figure out that the shipment was denied and on its way back to the US...so that's a good thing. However, we're going to have to use a different shipping method or address next time because I don't want this issue to come up again. We've been back and forth with you through e-mails for a few weeks now and the last thing we want is to lose the product AND a customer at the same time. Please be patient and we'll let you when the 2-pots arrive back in the US so we can come up with a new strategy for shipping this out again.

If you have questions please e-mail us. We've always responded rapidly to your e-mails and it's the fastest way to contact us.

"Denied" that is what I meant by "returned" but it must have been a customs form issue unless the package was over 70lbs. Anyway, I emailed you.
