I talked to someone on the phone yesterday afternoon, he said it should be overnighted to me and I should have it today. Well, I haven't heard or seen anything. Just like you've mentioned, it should been shipped before the holiday weekend, so I'm not sure what happened there, and I wasn't informed about it. Please reply with a tracking number ASAP, I'll have to ask for a refund if I don't receive this shipment by tomorrow. I could have my pads installed already, if I would have bought them from somewhere else. Thank you

Anthony:

Many thanks for the awesome brake pads. If I hadn't gotten them by last week, I wouldn't have been able to make it to the retro screening of the Japanese version of '10'...

Anthony, maybe something wrong with the hotmail, I just want to know when are you going to receive the pulley?
Thank you!

I'm about to post a negative review of this vendor - but want to hold off one more day before getting into the details of my order. I haven't even received the product yet, however i'm very unhappy.

If Anthony or any other Mauro employee visits this thread, please contact me immediately.

Ed D. - or alphakry@hotmail.com - I've been calling and sending emails for over a week now without response. However, I now see you have issued a refund because of the following:

"My supplier sent us 18x7.5in G-games in Gold, but they do not fit 05+ STi's, only WRX's. I've been in the middle of trying to solve the issue with them, so in the meantime take your money back until the next shipment arrives in the country."

I'll take you at your word - however 34 days after payment is a tad too late to inform someone after they make a $1300 purchase that there was a miscommunication and the products ordered were never on their way.

But again, because of the lack of communication - I can only take you at your word and assume you probably didn't know of this mistake until the truck showed up at your door - so i'll just say i'm very dissapointed to fall into the growing number of members who make posts like this instead of raving positive reviews in this thread.

What can I say...the wheels are here, but they're not going to fit your car. It would've been even worse if I sent you 18x7.5's by mistake so I'm glad they came here first. We were dissapointed as well. In either case I refunded you immidiately for the mistake....our supplier says the correct wheels should be here in the next 60 days so we'll see.

Well, may I suggest getting a new supplier, because I'm quite disappointed about this. I ordered something you said you could get in X days, it took XX days and it wasn't even the correct item. How can you order and charge for a product they never intended on sending you in the first place?

What really concerns me is that it really doesn't sound like a mistake the supplier made but rather that you just really had no idea what you would be getting in that shipment, so you hoped for the best and sold me on it.

Based on many of the other reviews in this thread, frankly I'm quite surprised your company has continued it's success... it appears these miscommunications and slipups are not very rare at all....

It's beyond the point of where the fault lies, be it the supplier or your own company, however I highly doubt i'll be returning my business or be recommending MauroMS to anyone else on NASIOC or elsewhere.

Nothing personal, just very bad business.

See now you're making assumptions...we ordered the correct wheel and were sent the incorrect wheel. We were told the 18x8.5's were instock and available so we ordered them for you. Don't you remember the phone conversations we had? We went back and forth for a few days. I told you we had to bring the wheels in first then have them shipped to you...this took extra time as well. The wheels we ordered for you were shipped to us in a shipment of 16, but they are all 18x7.5 one piece instead of the 18x8.5 two-piece we requested. A mistake was made, but it happened and there's nothing I can do about it since my supplier is the only one in the country that brings this wheel in.. Get another supplier? There is no other, so that's out the window. I'm sorry you are dissapointed, but the wheels you requested will be in the country in the next 60 days. I gave you a refund right away for the mistake and there's really not a heck of a lot more I can do about it. I understand your dissapointment and apologize.

Thanks again,

Anthony

Some people have had issues with Mauro but this was my response to redline's post in another forum!

"I understand your feeling but at the same time I have dealt with Mauro a bit and have never had a negative experience. But I recently had some issues and Anthony was terrific about resolving them. I had bought a Ultimate external up pipe setup a few months back at a great price! I made sure to ask if it would work with my planned Dp and was rest assured it was. Fast forward a few months and car is at the shop and guess what the up pipe is no where near close to fitting. I was pretty pissed but emailed Anthony and left a message using restraint. Anthony got back to me and after a few discussions just about the situation I was very happy. Anthony was not at fault Ultimate had sent the wrong setup to him initially and he accepted it was correct on faith. Now we can argue about all sorts of coverups and BS, but in the end he got my new one to the shop very quickly from Ultimate at no cost and told me don't worry about the other setup just keep it. Now a little good fatih goes a long way, I after this experience immmediately bought 2 Perrin Catch cans for a good price just because he went the extra mile.
So before you tear them up just get in contact with him through email and phone and explain your end of things and if anything see where the ball got dropped. Anthony is a member of 2 of our local Suby clubs and everyone is happy with them because things do happen but making them right is what counts."

I recently met anthony @ a car meet ... Id say about 3 - 4 weeks ago... he has helped me out in soo many ways possible... helping me install parts he gets for me. bringing them to my house when they came out.. definitely goes out of his way as much as possible to help people... I'm sure this is a typical miscommunication issue that just sux for both parties.... But with my experience with anthony im sure the issue will be resolved weather its a refund, the item shipped to you or what not. unfortunately even the best people occasionally have poor transactions.

Sorry to start this huge outcry of anti-Mauro posts. It was not my intent, only to share what I feel is only fair that everyone should know based on my experiences.

I must say, when I first called and spoke with Anthony, he was nothing but informative, polite and incredibly helpful! I can't take that away from him. He definitely showed incredible dedication and put in great effort to try and get me as many details as possible before and during the ordering process. He even offered a paypal discount i didn't know about when ordering- so I was actually blown away by how great of a transaction it looked to be! In my eyes, Mauro had entered my list of great reputable vendors!

However, I can't say it stayed that way after the order was placed. I share the same issue as many people in this thread - that once the order was placed and payment was sent, the promptness and details of email and phone responses was close to none.
Before the order, i would get 3-4 immediate responses via email from Anthony regarding some product questions I had. Once i had ordered and asked for any updates at all - and sent these requests to not only his direct email but also to the general support emails listed on their site - I did not receive a single response.

I wasn't even informed of the shipping error until 7 days after the product showed up incorrectly. And when a refund was issued, i was informed by Paypal instead of Mauro.

It's these things that strike me as bad business technique. Again, all things considered in the posts above - it was out of MM's hands as far as the shipping error - and I say it again that Anthony was nothing but helpful when placing the order - but the lack of communication and updates from point of order till point of refund actually had me asking "Did i get scammed?" at one point.

The entire wheel order showed up here a day or two before I refunded you. Not 7 days Ed. Sorry.

If anyone else has a problem then PM me or E-mail me and I'll solve it. I have dozens of people order from us daily and there's always going to be problems...every business has them and no business becomes perfect without them.

Got your email. Responded. Hope you understand.

As for the 7 days comment, I was only going on the very last update you gave me - on June 30th, that stated "Shipment should be arriving today. Just waiting on the truck to arrive!". Never heard from you after that so i only assumed so. Sorry yet again for jumping to conclusions, but with the little info i had, it's all I could do.

Angry Mauromotorsports Blows

I tried to contact Mauromotorsports/Anthony Mauro calling 8-10 times a day, leaving a message 2 times a day(one time calling and the phone was busy-so I constantly had the phone in my hand until i did not hear a busy signal and even then i did not get an answer on the other end of the line), and 1 e-mail per day and then i left a pretty nasty message with some explicit lyrics and Anthony calls me back with in 5 minutes, so it took 2 weeks and over 80 phone calls for the owner Anthony Mauro to call me back. Then I ordered my parts over the phone and Anthony told me they would be in that Thursday and I could come and get them. I get an e-mail(the first time he answered me) telling me I can't pick the parts up because he is going on vacation and would be in "THE OFFICE" until the following tuesday. But I the customer would be leaving on Wedsnesday for a vacation. So I call and call and call and e-mail constantly all of that tuesday and until I leave midday wednesday so i could come get the parts so I would not have to wait another 5 days. So I e-mailed him and said I'd be in that following monday to pick the parts up either leave me a message or e-mail me to tell me what time is good to pick my parts up. I comeback 5 days later and nothing I go through the same process I did the first time except calling over 25 times a day leaving messages and e-mailing constantly until I was so feed up I left a really nasty message with some more explicit lyrics just like the first time and to no suprise. I get a call back no less than 5 minutes later from another member of Mauromotorsports(whose name will not be mentioned because he caused me no harm) telling me that the parts were never ordered by the owner Anthony who was on the phone with me when he told me he ordered them. I don't think that the owner of this company is a reliable source to give your credit card information to. but Anthony has a very nice facility that the business of maruomotorsports is run out of nice enough to be a 1 family home.(it is a 1 family home)
I was going to order over 10000 dollars worth of parts from Anthony Mauro but due to his unreliability and the fact that he never answers the phone whether he is at his place of business "mauromotorsport"="his home" I can not order the parts from him so i will be making a healthy donation to another parts vendor.
So after 3 weeks of waiting for my parts that i should get three days after i ordered them I hung up the phone with Mauromotorsports for good!!!

You're pretty funny kid...do you know why we didn't order anything for you? Where do I begin?

First you wouldn't leave a deposit. Second, you left extremely nasty e-mails. Third, you decdied the e-mails didn't help so instead left us nasty voice mails with you cursing up a storm. Lastly, we don't take any orders from locals without a deposit because we've sat on all kinds of items because of people like you. No other local vendor would do things differently....so good luck.

You were going to order $10k worth of stuff? That's nice...and I feel sorry for ANY vendor who has to deal with your mouth and extremely immature antics. I'll be sure to let the local vendors know what kind of customer you are. A 16 year old with lots of money who curses you out when he doesn't get his way.

We'll be calling you shortly to discuss this post!

You called me I didn't answer. SOUND FAMILIAR
I never cursed in an e-mail before i cursed in the voicemail that you so quickly responded to because i'm assuming you felt threatened you were going to lose a customer who was willing to spend that kind of money
I started cursing up a storm in 2 voicemails after weeks and weeks of calling and no response
The owner of this company doesn't know his own policy and tells me I'm ordering the parts right now and never asked me for a deposit so why would i offer to take a extra trip to seldon if i dont need to make on, if you asked me for a deposit I would have gladely drove to your house and handed you the money.
Any body on here can call your house/place of business at any time and i gaurantee 99 times out of 100 their will be no answer

Weeks and weeks? You tried to order from us just before 4th of July. Like I said and Greg told you over the phone...no deposit no order.

Threatened? Not threatened at all....not one bit. We have plenty of normal and mature customers that purchase from us daily. I will not deal with or even consider doing business with any customer who acts the way you do. Nor will most vendors around here.

You wouldn't have driven to give us to give a deposit because you told us flat out that you didn't even have your license yet! Move on kid...there are plenty of other vendors that will take your $7000....or wait no...now it's $10,000. If you think this makes the situtation better...it's making it worse.

Have a great day and good luck.
