I just ordered the FAT stage on kit for my 2000 2.5 RS and i was told that it was bad to have an underdrive puley and lightened pulley set on there with the turbo. why was i told this and does it make any sense to anyone else? also i was wondering if im running 5 psi after i get an intercooler how reliable do you think my car should be?

I know plenty of people who use lightweight pulleys on turbocharged cars (factory and aftermarket, subaru and non-subaru) and i can think of no reason why someone would say it was "bad"

How do you define reliable...

Depends on how you plan to treat her .... Drive it like you stole it and plan on a new clutch, transmission and headgasket to name a few of the regular problems . Drive it like a normal person with a few isolated juvenile indescretions and Ive heard of em lasing close to 50,000 miles if i am not mistaken . Ask Robert at FAT for real answers he's really cool ...

Prior to the TEC2 (that is no longer in my car), I ran a stage 2 kit with a lightened pulley for about 5k miles. Then summer hit here in hell, I mean Phoenix. I went back to the stock one. I don't see a real reason to not use a lightened one, other then the AC issue....
