Thumbs up Langston Subaru / Langstonspeed

Just wanted to put in a good word for the folks at Langston Subaru. I ordered up a bunch of tune-up parts last week- there were a couple changes to the order as I finalized it, but Adrian kept in touch with me and things went smoothly.

They're easy to work with, have good prices, and shipping was fast.

i second the praise.. ordered my items in the beginning of the week, took only 2 days to get here. packaged nicely and uniformly.. and i even got stickers!!

sent them an email asking if they had the gauge pod (that butts up to the a-pillar and dash) in 60 mm. they never responded, so i ended up buying the pod somewhere else.

I tried calling but the number I dialed wasn't allowed (maybe my phone service provider). I tried the email on their website and got no reply. I PM'd langstonsubaru and he quickly replied. I ordered online (tuneup parts) but had to add a few more things (sti badge&fenderplug) which I did through PM to LangstonSpeed. They updated my order correctly even though it was the day after I ordered online and sent it out. Great service and great prices. I would def. recommend them.

Thumbs down Langstonspeed.com - wouldn't use them again

Ordered some CF dash trim and it took a WEEK for them to ship it out. Now it's on the slow boat to from PA to ORE.

Basically gonna take 2 wks for me to get my part.

Slow to no email response too. Had to call to find out my status.

Wouldn't use them again.

I did save $50, I will give them that.

I purchased the full SPT suspension kit (MY 02 sedan) from them back when they first posted on here with discounts last summer. I, on the other hand, got excellent service and an even better deal than my best friend as a parts manager out of state could have gotten me at the time.

it's no the deal that I was concerned w/., it was the lack of communication ( I don't want to use a ohone if I order online) and the time it took to ship.

1 week is rediculous for a vendor who has parts in stock, hell they're a dealer!!

Repeat: it was a good deal $$ wise

I ordered painted side skirts on their website but there was no comments area to specify the color and there was no way to specify the correct part # for the WR blue parts I wanted. I emailed them and Brian assured me he'd send me the correct parts but he wouldn't ship until 3-4 days later (approx.). I was fine with the week and a half wait for the parts but when they came, they were silver! I've emailed back that I got the wrong parts and PM'd them here but I haven't yet received a response (after one afternoon at work). I'll call them tomorrow morning to resolve this.

I'm not happy at all. The price was right, sure, but I definitely shouldn't have to pay to return the incorrect parts. We'll see what they say. I haven't passed judgment yet.

UPDATE - Mike at Langston parts sent me a return label for the incorrect parts and told me the blue skirts will ship out to me on Monday or Tuesday. I'm very happy with his prompt handling of this mix up. He's been very helpful and agreeable. Thanks, Mike!

UPDATE 2 - Mike sent me the correct parts promptly and with no problems whatsoever. The incorrect parts were returned to him and I'm assuming he got them.

Just checking to see if you know when I will be getting these. I ordered mine 06/22/04, then was told they were out of stock, also was told you would have more in a week or two. This post http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show...=langstonspeed
on 07/01/04 said you had a few pair in stock. Ok, so if I ordered mine on 6/22/04 you didn't have any in stock, but you did for that post on 07/01/04, so what gives?? I smell a refund or my floormats asap please.. My CC company does not like fraud and I'm sure they will be happy to talk to you about it. Order number is 183. Please respond!

I'm not happy with their service either. I ordered an SPT/Bosal exhaust from them and they sent me (unbeknownst to me until I had the thing mounted, albeit badly mounted) a Bosal/Brospeed exhaust with incorrect hangers and a bent tip. The muffler tip doesn't have the "SPT" etched into it and is BENT. Also the muffler looks very different from the SPT/Bosal muffler in all the pics I've seen. The front hanger on the muffler doesn't even mate with the subframe connection and is in a completely different position than what's shown on the SPT pics.

The box was an SPT box with the correct part number but the exhaust is NOT the SPT exhaust. Talk about fraud...

I let my CC company know what's going on so I don't have to pay the bill until this is resolved. Brian at Langston was unavailable for contact today. I'm trying back tomorrow.

I don't know whose fault this is but I didn't receive what I ordered. The SPT pics show a muffler that should fit with no problems. I just can't believe I got the BOX and not the PARTS.

EDIT- I called for Brian at Langston yesterday and was told he'd be there today. I got the same answer today. If I get the same answer tomorrow and I get blown off with "Only Brian can help you", I am not going to be a happy camper and neither will my CC company.

UPDATE - I spoke with Brian last week and I should receive the correct parts today. Brian has said that he'll credit me with an even larger discount because of the mistake.

I've been dealing w/ Brian for the last several years, have ordered a multitude of items (ask Brian )- I always get good pricing, fast shipping and good service.

I'd give Langston four out of four rating

Their semiannual 25-30% off sales make me happy and give me a reason to spend my subarubucks
