Question Red Stitched Auto Shifter!

Ok as a bunch of people said that the auto shifters where supposed to have the red stiching on them. Well i went to the dealership and they order the one for my car and then when i went up there to get it put on it turned out to be the same knob. Well they called the main subaru place and they said that only the manuals came with the red stiching. Well i want to know is that true or are they just BSing me? And if there are supposed to have the red stitching then what is the part number if anyone knows?

heres the scoop from SOA, they say they had a manufacturing prob( vendor problem my guess) they go on and tell me some cars got threw with red stiching, MY00 is black, no stiching. there not goin to do squat because there manufacturing people say, tell customer svc that its supposed to be black. unless you got a friendly dealer like mine your outa luck. i forgot the part #. check with brian ( north ursalia) he should have it.

well up here in Canada, well in Vancouver at least I believe that the MY00 all have red stiching for auto and manual...

I guess it makes up for those ugly bumpers that we get...
