Default Door Ajar Light on

Hey guys...
This kid I know asked if I could fix his door ajar light.
I figure I could figure it out by looking around for a bit, but before I start I figured some of you may have some good insight.

You can wire across the door switch (easy, however the dome light will no longer work) or pull the bulb out for the door ajar light (PITA, as you'd have to remove the cluster).

You could check the pin switch. It's most likely broken and needs to be replaced.
