Default another headlight mod question and the stupid amber turn signals

Well i've been doing some searching and am planning on doing the headlight mod soon. The thing is that every search I've done hasn't cleared up what to do about the amber signal light bulb. I want it to be clear or chrome after i am done painting but im not sure how do to it. Is there a way to do this with the stock bulb by modifying it or do i need to buy replacements? I haven't had my headlights apart before so i wasn't sure. Also, i found this link in another post about LEDs.

http://www.superbrightleds.com/cgi-b...e/commerce.cgi

Will they do the trick?

Hopefully somebody can help me out. Sorry about the n00B question.

Thanks,
Jason

The stock turn signal bulbs are clear, with the clear orange plastic cover. When I did my headlight mod, I just removed the orange plastic cover, and replaced the stock bulbs with a chrome/clear colored bulb that blinks orange. That seemed to be the easiest way to go for me...

there's the phillips silvervisions which are sort of hard to come by in the US (I ordered mine from the UK).

In all reality, it'd probably be easier to go over to your local auto parts place and buy some orange bulbs and a can of chrome/silver spray paint and spray the bulbs and you'd basically accomplish the same thing as the silvervisions.

I did the headlight mod and I left my clear bulbs in with nothing done to them. I did the mod on July 6, 2003 and have no hassles yet from the police. When they blink they blink in a more yellow color than the parking lights and headlights, so I think that is enough. As long as they don't flash super white like a strobe, then I think you are fine. I am in RI though so who know where you are.

Good Luck!
Ben

The part# is 1156. I bought mine on ebay from this guy... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=2470700805 . These bulbs appear chrome, but blink orange. I heard that you can pick them up at pepboys or something, but I'm not sure of the price.
