Thumbs up kartboy end links on stock suspension

OK,
I did a search here, and no dice. So for those of you who are maintaining a mostly stock WRX suspension, I want to speak to the kartboy solid rear end links. My install might be termed "irregular" in that my driveway has a small area where I can back the car up onto and I could slide underneath the car without jacking it up (mostly). I was able to get the links in with minimal fuss.

I've been driving about with the links for nearly two weeks now. The rear end now keeps up with the front a lot better than before. The car's reflexes seem to be a bit sharper becaues of the links, and more responsive to steering inputs. I've been taking some of my favorite turns and curves, and have found that I can carry a bit more speed, and that the car rotates more easily than before. The car is more easily tossed around a corner too. As a bang-for-the-buck mod this one is hard to beat. No additional nvh in the ride either. Of note, I'm using Bridgestone RE950 all-season 225x50x16 tires. These tires are outstanding in the wet, with plenty of wet grip. The kartboys induce just a bit of oversteer in the wet when cornering, but the car never feels as if it will get away from you; only that it rotates smartly, and the car goes where I want it to. Even better in the dry.

So there it is. Kartboys endliks on a stock REX. Maaarrrrvelous!

Talking joe!

Enjoy! Nice little mod, eh? Now if only my Poltec front end inks would arrive! Oh, and I just ordered my 11.5:1 quick rack from rev-lab. Talk about a stealthy REX! If you're interested, do a search for "Mustangkilla". He's got some good info on this rack in a current thread.
regards!

Question fellas?

Thanks for replying. But I have a question for you. Do you sense the car's "center of rotation" seems to have changed? I'm not sure I can describe it correctly except to say that my butt tells me the car's pivot point feels like it's moved further back now. Before adding the kartboys, it felt like it the point of rotation was somewhere in front of me, and the rest of the car was following along. I guess that's the effect of lessened understeer that I feel. Does that make sense?

Just installed them on my Saabaru Aero Wagon...WOW!!!! What a difference!!! The rear of the car no longer leans and wallows in a turn! Best mod I have done!!! better than brakes or power mods...

I've just ordered a set, and I'll be installing them with a CUSCO sway bar. Can't wait to feel the difference.
