would you mind reviewing my FAQ
http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show...6#post19452116

Its my attempt to cover underbody aerodynamic systems and their parts.
Later I will attempt some more, but this one needs more revisions.

Thanks

Not sure if this has been posted, or what, but I think it should have a link and/or a sticky or something. It's a side by side comparison of a bunch of the most popular brands of oil filters... They've all been cut open and compared for element material, surface area, construction methods, etc...

http://minimopar.knizefamily.net/oilfilterstudy.html

Good stuff...

as badass as all of your posts are, i think the craziest, most difficult faq would be schooling us on the breakdown of our usdm engines, so we know what parts are what, and that there is a difference between a head and headers.

i am in no way telling you to do it since its so rediculously comprehensive, but it would be mighty nice to have

if you don't already know the difference between heads and headers, you have no business tearing into an engine.

then again, I guess there's no better way to learn

Isn't that what the factory service manuals are for? If you need to take the motor down, and need torque specs and part numbers, all that information is already there, why bother reposting it?

How about a write up on "offroading" or "rallying", just for kicks .

I took mine out in the mud the other day for the first time and had a blast sliding around.

Someone needs to change the title of this thread. Something like "Super FAQ to end all newbie questions" should do it.

I think it should be at the beginning when you register, you have to read every page, take a simple test, and if you pass, you can join the club.

I agree. I am actually looking into doing some sort of STi swap into my 02 WRX. I have searched all around, but I haven't had much help. Things like the differences between longblocks and shortblocks, what exactly are heads and which ones will fit which engines, and so forth. I would just purchase an entire STi motor, but if I can attain the same, or better, performace using cheaper parts, I would rather do that. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Wouldnt be bad... You register, then have access to the manifesto, then take a multiple choice quiz, and then if you pass, you're allowed to the rest of the forum. I vote for question nr. 37 being:

"The viscosity of a WRX/NA exhaust bearing lubricant should be
a) 95W10 b) 0W25 c) 10W40 "
