Saw this referenced on 25RS, thought I'd give it a look over. Wonderfully done.

Unabomber, you are a Subaru legend. Every time I have a question on ANY Subaru forum, I'd get directed back to one of your posts. Thanks for all the knowledge.

Cool hp identifier on some items.

Nice write up, few questions, will this work for wrx 2002 i know they are nearly similar yet a bit different. also which upgrades would you recommend for more horse power and tourque to someone who is on the budget atm. I do have a custom exhaust already, and change the filters and all.

I've been searching, researching, and asking everyone I know (who has credibility) about coilovers... That would be a good sticky Sir! I am after gravel specs due to MOAR travel and height while keeping the tires in contact with the surface; while many look to keep a driveable car that nearly scraps on flat... Too much distinction between them and HUGE price differences due to too many factors. There are big names for this (drifter kids) and big names for that (rally kids), and even more so for those who just want straight line speed. Construction facts, materials, air/gas, blah blah, I know you can make more sense of this UnaBomber! Or you could just pm me and save the trouble of the write-up... Either way.... Thanks for the half a dozen threads you posted that I have put to good use on my car! =D (I know there's more, but some just don't apply).

Hey Joe, gravel specs would be something I'd ask about over on DirtyImpreza.com. Since I see you're driving a 2011 Rex like myself, I'd suggest some Feal rebuilt struts with King springs. It's the setup I'm running and a few of the other 08+ guys on DI are running it too. Hopefully I've helped a little. GL!!!

Thanks Greg, the guys at DI are running some pretty expensive stuff for the most part from what I gathered. Mainly it was just an idea for another sticky for UnaBomber to make if he is still stuck in a sub or where ever There are a million different kinds and we all know you get what you pay for in most cases.

I'll check in to that set up though now that you mention it and are apparently happy with it.

No prob. The stage stuff definitely isn't cheap, then again any good setup is going to have a heftier price. Nature of the beast, with all the stresses dirt driving produces, lol. BTW, the Kings on Feal struts cost about $1200, IIRC, so still not exactly cheap, but worth it in my eyes, along with my meatier tires & 15" Braids.

That's a long story, but it centers on me being friendly and helping vendors get new business both directly and through the web of NASIOC vendors.

Send me a PM and I'll hook a brother up....I can get most parts through NASIOC vendors at prices less than are advertised here through my ninja NASIOC deal network.
