Default How to remove air filter from cold air intake in 2002 WRX?

It's dirty, how do I get it out?

Assuming you are talking about the stock airbox.....
Unclip the 2 airbox top retaining clips....pull the airbox top back....remove old filter....install new filter....carefully position the inboard airbox top tabs into slots on airbox bottom inboard side(this may take some 'wiggling' and force) and push the airbox top closed insuring proper fitment before fastening the 2 airbox top retaining clips.
If the airbox top does not close properly, re-check the tabs on the top are properly engaged in the slots on the bottom and the filter is seated properly in the airbox bottom.
