Default instrument cluster swap

Could anyone help me with a question?
My '96 Impreza Brighton 5 speed has no tachometer.
I have found an instrument cluster on ebay for an automatic.
Does anyone know if they are interchangable?
The only obvious difference is the gear indicator for the a/t. is this on all of them and simply hidden by the m/t clusters bezel?

This q. comes up every once in a while. You can easily transplant the tach into the Brighton cluster, and keep your speedometer.
