Default Reset Air Bag Light?

Bottom line is my air bag light is on and I don't know how to reset it. All the connections are good so it's not that. I hear there is a certain way to reset airbag lights and I don't know how. Anyone have any info? Thanks.

There is a procedure in the service manual to check for codes when the airbag light is on.
Was the car in an accident where an airbag deployed, or did the light just come on for no apparent reason?

Pretty much... switching interiors. The clips of the harness broke off so no way to unplug them so we had to cut and then resplice/solder them back. Stupid, I know. Thanks for the tip.. will look in the service manual.

What manual are you looking at? The factory service (not owners) manual has a diagnostic procedure for the airbag system that you can do yourself to get the codes, no special scanner is needed.

Oh ***** my bad... factory service. I guess I will be visiting my mechanic or body shop to check one of these out.

So where do you stand on this? Do you have access to a manual?

sup its jeff.

i dunno if you still have the airbag light on, but when i swapped wrx seats with sti seats, i got an airbag light when i had only the driver's seat harnesses connected while the passenger front wasn't yet. if you didn't already, check if you cross-wired the passenger harness or re-connect that harness cuz even that one could set off that annoying airbag light on the gauge cluster. if you need another harness, i might have 1 or 2 extra if i didn't break them already call me a noob, but those yellow harnesses are mad f***ing hard to take off.
