Shut Up,
I'm making bacon!

Thumbs up RalliTek.com

I've purchased a few times from Rallitek and finally getting off my ass and writing up a review.
Rallitek is an awesome place. They've got excellent prices on the items I want, and thier always in stock. If your lucky enough to visit...There are always Suby freaks to hang out with, TONS of great eyecandy on the walls you can drool over, (4 piston brakes, drilled and slotted rotors, avo turbos for example...:sigh:, I'll get there one day.)
They carry great products made by excellent manufactures (Perrin, GPMoto, IPD and AVO) The thing that really gets me, is everytime I go there, there is always a car with the product I'm interested in installed. When I bought my springs I got to take a ride with a customer and see if it was the right stiffness for me.
WRX, STI, Baja, Forester, Legacy, Outback and even the hard to find Old School Impreza parts.

I highly recommend this vendor.

Very true, Sean (the owner) was a service manager at a subaru dealership for many years and knows a lot more than his fair share. The prices are always way more than resonable, nothing is half-assed where installations are concerned. And if you ever stop by, be sure to make friends with Sean's dog Pollo.
Cheers,
Joel

sup guys, I've had all my work done by Rallitek and all I can say is that they are a spectacular business. I've had experience with other shops, even very larger and better known shops and no one has come close to the knowledge and customer service I've experienced at Rallitek. I highly recomend them to all you guys whether your just ordering parts from them or actually having them do some work.

THANKS RALLITEK!

Thumbs up

Rallitek was recommended to me by Perrin after I called them thinking they were still Alta Sports, which used to be behind Costco when I was in High School a while ago. I stopped in and talked with Sean a while about the WRX and the different tuning routes available. He knows his stuff, and the best part is he's interested in building the car that you want, not just trying to sell you parts. I had a lot of misconceptions about tuning from the internet, and he was happy to educate me on what I didn't understand. I have lots of love for Rallitek also because they've fished me out of some installs that I couldn't handle, and the labor prices are cheap for how quality of a job they do.

I highly recommend this vendor for all of your Subaru needs !

Default Great vendor! But...

I bought their stage 1 kit for the 2.5RS (Borla Headers and Catback, and the Rallitek intake). Sean was very helpful answering my questions, and the products came in promptly (except for the intake, which was on back order). I was super satisfied with the service and with the exhaust, but their intake did not work very well on my MAF-equipped car; it makes the engine lean out dangerously and bog down at 5500RPM. I fixed it with an S-AFC, but I would not recommend the intake for a MAF car unless you plan on getting the AFC as well...

I haven't actually been to Rallitek's shop, but I have ordered over the net from them. I ordered my intake for the Legacy from them and the service was great, even from across the country. I'd recommend them also, and will be buying from them again. Great Stuff, Rallitek!

Horrible experience with Rallitek
On 8-17, I ordered a STI replica front mount brace for my 1995 Legacy
and I received the part in 2 days
I was impressed and decided to buy from them again - Big mistake
On 8-19, I ordered a STI replica front mount brace for my 1997 Impreza
On 8-21 my credit card got charged for this
Then when I did not receive the part, I called them and I was told they were out of stock. I kept calling them every day and on 9-2, I was told that their distributor had shipped it directly to me
I kept calling them directly for a tracking number and never got a tracking number
On monday I am going to cancel my order
I have been on the phone with them once a day for the last several days and I have no clue whether the part got shipped by their distributor or not

Angry Rallitek

I was going to an autocross a while ago and decided I wanted a rear strut brace on my car for it. I found one at rallitek that was priced reasonably and placed an order 10 days before the event. I also put a message along with the order asking that it please be delivered ASAP, at extra cost if necessary.
10 days, nothing. I e-mailed them and complained. No reply.
12 days, nothing. I e-mail again, no reply.
15 days, nothing. I e-mail again. Expecting no reply I call. No one picks up and I leave a message with my phone number asking for them to call back.
18 days: Another e-mail, I call again. Someone picks up, FINALLY tells me that they didn't have that item in stock, asks me if I would like any other product. I ask if they carry STI engine mounts. The person tells me he is going to check and get back to me.
20 days, still nothing: I call, no one picks up, I send an e-mail asking to cancel the order and give me a refund. No reply.
25 days, still no reply, I call, no one picks up.
I call again at 30 days, FINALLY speak to a person who promises me a refund.
That was OVER 20 DAYS AGO. Seriously, how long does it take to deposit a refund on a bank account you were able to charge the exact same day the order was placed? Since then I have e-mailed them 4 times and called 3 times. No one replied, no one picked up the phone, now I am not disappointed any more, I am mad. This is unprofessional and disrespectful.
I made a serious mistake ever dealing with Rallitek. I am starting to suspect that the shop has closed down and thus no one answers the phone any more? I wouldn't surprize me since I can not possibly see how any business could continue to run with this kind of service=> the very WORST service I have EVER encountered.
Anyways, if anyone knows what happened with Rallitek please let me know so I can figure out the correct course of action to take in order to get my money back. I know some people in this forum had to go to court before against vendors with similar policies and would like to know what is involved.
The item I ordered was item code chassis STiGC-R, description: STI Rear Strut Brace Impreza '93-01, total cost $110.99, ordered on 9/21/2004, invoice number 3032
I appreciate any help with this.

RalliTEK Subaru Performance, in Portland?? Well I just had excellent service from them. They had an item on special (w/ free shipping); since I'm in Canada I expected it to either be (a) unavailable or (b) shipped at normal international rate - I contacted them (by email) - they straight away said they'd honour the free shipping - ordered online - arrived about a week later, USPS as requested.

powerlabs, just dispute the charge, in writing, with your credit card company. Hurry, since you often only have 30 days from when it appears on your credit card statement to challenge it. Call your credit card company first to verify how to dispute the charge, but remember that technically, phone calls don't count, so you need to do it in writing by mail. The back of your credit card statement may also describe the procedure for disputing a charge.

Get a whitline from Brian at www.subaruwrxparts.com

http://www.subaruwrxparts.com/gc8-suspension.html
Not much more than you were going to spend, its a quality brand, not some knock off, you will get it fast, Email confirmation of order, and you will be notifed by email when it ships, usually day after you order it. Its listed on the site so he has it in stock...

you get the picture. Ive never gotten a good vibe from rallitek, I like to stick with the guys who have been in subaru community for a while, not companys that jumped on the subaru band wagon.

Dude, I almost fell out of my chair when you intimated that Rallitek "jumped on the Subaru bandwagon" laughing so hard. Sean (the owner of Rallitek) was formerly a lead service technician at a large dealership here in Portland, with tons of experience tuning and doing extensive engine swaps, and turbo kits on n/a cars (a specialty of thiers). For someone to speak ill of a business, probably never having spoken to, or dealt with the company is laughable.

A likely scenario relating to the original posters question though, they have recently had some personel changes, as well as a new shop location. I'm not saying that should excuse them of any blame, but it may factor in to all of the troubles.

Thousands of dollars in parts and labor into my WRX!!!! Rallitek stands behind the products they sell and the work they do!!!
I;ve been dealing with Rallitek since day one..There must be some other explaination behind your problem. Sean has very high moral standards as a business person. Have you talked to Sean personally ???

Your post was totally out of line!!! Sean was the service manager at Wentworth Subaru( a mod friendly dealer) in Portland for YEARS!! He started his own business and has an excellent reputation in the Oregon/Washington area, Scooby Land!!! Personally I think the originator of this post might be leaving out some info...

Your refund went through on 10-19. We have the records here. I have a copy of the refund transaction. I can mail you a copy if you prefer. If you do not have the funds in your account, call your bank with the transaction number I left in your PM box.
The supplier strung us along promising parts we later found out they had discontinued. We are very sorry for your service experience. We did change shipping personnel recently.
You spoke with me on that final phone call when I promised to refund you. I put the refund through that day, myself.

Excuse me? My post was an objective description of my experience with them. Whoever runs the business does not change what my experience with them was.

Did you even bother to read the original post??? I can't talk to ANYONE in there. They do not answer e-mails, pick up the phone, or get back to me on the voicemails I left.

That is the kind of reply I was hoping to get. I finally managed to resolve the issue with them. I remain unsatisfied but will cease to complain. In the future, Sean, I would advise not advertising products you don't have in stock on your page. It was the same thing when I ordered an intake for my 2.5RS; it was supposed to ship the next day and I had to wait 3 weeks for it. I was planning on running that rear swaybar at the last autox of the year and if I had ordered from someone else I would have been able to.
/end rant.

Sam,

You have all the refund information. Call your VISA bank because the funds left our account on 10-19. If you still don't have the funds I will track it through our VISA company. We are not here to piss people off. We want to give everyone the best service possible. I am very sorry you had trouble with us, and that we have lost you as a customer.

seems like you are not reading posts man, Matty was responding to MCDade, as evident in the SUBJECT LINE of his POST.

I know your original post was an objective assesment of your experience with Rallitek.
and I first responded accordingly.

FYI...a number of online vendors advertise parts they do not have in stock, it's called "drop shipping", if you are uncomfortable with this practice I would suggest going with a "brick and mortar" retailer for your needs because the internet doesn't seem to be up to your standards for parts supplies.

I have had difficulties getting parts at the last minute due to drop shipping and or out of stock items.

it happens man

Steve

Default Rule of Thumb...

If you need it this week or next...go get it!!! You want it a month from now then internet or phone order. I've done it alot and I ALWAYS ask if it's in stock. I've been burned by a few very well known vendors by not asking "do you have it in stock now" Sorry for your experience!!

I've been using the Internet for 6 years now to buy everything from food to the vehicle I currently own and I have NEVER had an experience even CLOSE to this one. No, its not the Internet, its Rallitek. Sure, the supplier doesn't have the part? Well, CALL ME AND LET ME KNOW! Or at least reply my damn e-mail when I ask why its been 25 days and no signs of the part. Simple enough, isn't it?

Have you seen where I live? This town has 12000 inhabitants and is in the middle of nowhere. If I wanted to get a rear strut bar the closest place that might have a remote chance of having it in stock would be 8 hours away.

Guys,

We got everything worked out. Powerlabs found the refund on his Visa. My old shipping manager was not responding back to folks, I had to get involved.
We only want to give people the best service possible. We are more of a local shop than internet based. As many of you know we have hired more techs, expanded our shop, and it is booked solid. That has taken alot of my time to get things set up. I have been slow to respond, and my employee was not helping matters.
Powerlabs had a right to be mad. I thought we were responding, looks like we were not. His refund went through, but he was not informed it went through. Situation at our end is worked out now. We have lost him as a customer, I don't want to lose anyone else. Our local customers love us, I hope we can win back our internet customers. With out you, we are nothing.
