Default accelerometers do they work

i've been looking into getting an accelerometer just for the fact that if they actually work i will have hard numbers to see what affect the mods i make have without having to pay to hook it to a dyno. just want to know if anyone has bought one and if they are worth a $200+ investment. let me know

I've got a apexi RSM w/ the G sensor and think it's pretty reliable if you only want to test out what kind of improvements your new mods make. As long as you have a stock power output to base everything against, then the modified measurements should be pretty good at determining its improvement.
