Default Beer Review: Beamish Irish Stout (Like Guinness)

Still pounding away at the Old Chicago Beer tour, when I came accross this Saturday night.

What do I think?

Well, its Ok I guess, It's no Guinny, but it will suffice. The wieght is a little weak, watery. It keeps a head, but not near as robust as the orignial. Flavour? A little "piney" as in pine needles. Closer to Murphy's than anything else. It's nitro infused BTW.

I'll stick with the St. James Gate original.

You?

Why Old Chicago call last call at 12:30?

I have had Beamish in a pub in England. Pretty good stuff. I like Murphy's better.

This stuff rocks...just picked up some more last night. Walk-in beer coolers rock.

Blue Moon> Boulevard

For a yeast infected beer, I like it.

Yeppers, it's a Coors product, notice the shape of the bottle.

Whoa! It's rooks rike Coors Light!

I'd rate my top three stouts this way:

-Murphy's
-Beamish
-Guiness

I think Guiness is overrated. Plus, they knocked Murphy's out of my favorite pubs
by offering exclusivity deals with the pub owners.
