I scuffed one up pretty badly. I was going to use it as the spare and buy a new one. But the replacement cost of an XT rim is $260, if you can believe that!
Where would I find the part number for XS rims? I thought it was 28111SA020, but that comes back as $125. I can't believe the XT rims are twice as much as an XS rim. ![]()

I bought a set of XS wheels for winter (I'm referring to the 5-spoke alloys, with the strange spokes that are curve outward to be wider at the rim) and, IIRC, they were about $130 each. I didn't get a second set of XT wheels because they were so much more.
I've sent scuffed wheels to the Wheel Collision Center (Bath, PA --Google will get you there) and they did a great job, but the shipping and wait is a pain. HPH |

lucien2,
How about getting your wheel fixed? There's a place off of rt. 1 about 2 miles from rt. 100 exit (in MD of course) called "Ye Olde Wheel Shoppe". They can probably fix it for around $100-$120. I've used them before on a set of curb rashed BBS wheels a while back. They can fix pretty banged up wheels. They're the original alloy wheel fixer. They developed a process of heating and straightening wheels. They also chrome and repaint wheels. Plenty of articles written about them in Road and Track and Automobile magazine. Frank |

Frank- I am almost certainly going to go that route. I was hoping to pick up a 5th rim and use the scuffed one for the spare; would have been nice, but lordy not for that coin.

For that kind of dough Lucien you could look for an XT owner upgrading who is getting rid of their OEM 16" set. I'd guess ~$600 would get you 4 wheels and you could run two sets of tires.

Interested. And that would be a local pickup, too, which is even better. I'll send you an email...
