Lightbulb Enhanced WRX "dock pictures". Interesting.

Please see my comments below. I retouched these photographs using only the contrast function of Photoshop.

I jacked up the contrast with photoshop to see what was hiding in the darkness.

The things that becomes immediately obvious to ME is:

-Someone blacked out the sticker that was in the window on two of the photographs. The sticker is NOT blacked out in the front-on photo.

-The silver vehicle behind this car is obviously of the same type, bolstering the likelihood that this is indeed on a shipping dock.

-The vehicle has pronounced fender flares that are not visible in the original photos due to the darkness.

-The front bumper has a raised area where the license plate would be attached, and it corresponds to the size of North American license plates (not the super-rectangular Japanese or Euro plates).

-I'm 100% confident that these photos are authentic. I'm curious, though, as to why the photographer felt it necessary to black out the window sticker.

You know, the more I stare at these pictures, the more I like it. But then I look outside & see my MY00, which just looks badass. But the new design should go over well with the public.

I don't think it looks all that bad. I am not fond of the neon lights, but I think they will grow on me. It looks Forester-like to me.

It looks way to "beastie" from the side... I really hope the suspension is lowered a bit. I'm sooooooooooooo glad I have the current body style.

MO98RS-DEFINITELY.

Again, that's a very iffy part of an otherwise solid photo.

I can't believe SOA would hide their car design for so long and then let it appear in some "spy pics". Really...how much sense does that make?

Hmmmmm i have been thinking about that blacked out sticker in the rear side window and is it possible that it contains info about the destination port or some other info about the cars intended dealer destination??!!? or even the trim level e.g. WRX, RS, GL etc.
Could any photoshop Guru's err reverse the polarity of the negative image or change the polarization to see if there is any writing on that sticker?

Ok check the first pic. Notice the direction the shadow is. Check the side view in the second pic. Look at the direction the shadow is pointing (or lack of).

Any questions??

XT6Wagon the shadows on the ground match up, in the first pic it just follows the contour? of the front bumper.

Yeah, it follows the contour of the bumper, but not of the other side...

I'm almost certain these are fakes. Someone who is really, really good at photoshop decided he needed an extra $25,000, I guess.

We'll find out when it gets here.

Two things:

1) Large rectangular black area under car between tires which IHMO does/could not match normal dark areas - had to be touched up.

2) What happened to the rear disc brake? The front is conspicuous, and the back ... is black? Where did it go?

I hope they are fake pics. I realy don't like that car at all. It still has not grown on me. We will just have to wait just a little longer.

guys, the Shadow has been doctored. If you look closely at the normal pics, you can see where it used to be... something's not right.

Hmmmm...MagX seems like they "uncovered" the car of the decade, yet they can't spell it right...lol. I just find this funny

I guess the pic is fake, its not of an Impreza, but of an Inpreza

Since the photographer was there anyways, why didnt he take some pics of the silver one?

And if you came across something like this, would you take more than 3 pictures?!?!?

In the actual article there are many pics, but maybe the security was chasing him so he didnt have time to take pics of the silver one!
I doubt that three different magazines would conspire to fool us. FHI/Subaru purposely leaking these, possible.

ian/555 - They just drew with black over it. No reversing possible.

What really is interesting to me, is the fact that in the side shot, you see between the wheels, towards the rear of the car, a black spot that something was covered up there. See it? It's not there in the other two shots (almost looks like it in the back-end shot, but it's just the sideskirt), so it definetly makes me curious.
