Why is there so much room between the rear fender and the tire? Not from top to bottom, but from side to side.

Yeah I noticed that too... they shoulda went with a 7.5" wheel instead of the 7" one to fill the wells. At least we won't have to worry about rubbing though.

Ummmm, I'm not sure that everyone understands that the pic is not of a REAL car- it's a photoshop job....that's why there aren't 7.5" wheels on it: that Subaru is playing "dress up."

Hey Bunuel, that's actually a really good job, right angle and everything.

Too bad it doesn't look like that, cuz that would be a winner in my book.

Ummm...this wasn't intended to make you think it was real. hehehe It's obviously a photoshop composite I did really quickly. I was just trying to show that the car would look so much better if they left the headlights alone. To me that is one of the Impreza's most distinguishing characteristics and really what makes it aggressive. Anyhoo. I already have an Impreza and I don't know why this new one breaks my heart the way it does.

When the the SOJ design team came up with the current design they unwitting stubled across the instant hit we all know and love. It just kind of reaches out and slaps you in the face like "DAMN!...That's a nice a$$ car!!!" This new design looks like they spent too many late nights trying to come up with something.
YEEAAACHHHHH!!!!!! <-----hurling on my monitor.

I spent a few more minutes on this one. Hmmm...there is still a possibility that these pics are indeed fake. If they had a current model sitting there and took pics of it then composited them with pieces of other cars, they could fool us.

Thumbs up

Now that's an MY02 to be proud of! Modern and mean! I think I'll start a business making front ends that look like that to replace the ****** front ends on the real ones.

Its a shame those arent real, it just shows if they would have simply left the hood vents and the headlights alone it would be be a pretty sweet car.

Im with ya. I think they are going to give us the Euro Turbo as a 2001.5, or so i hope. The car will be a MY2002 so why sell it early, when they already have a car that we want? Also, many people are saying we wont get a new Turbo of the new one and only a 2.5RS. Only problem is FHI says we are getting a Turbo Impreza. Could this mean we are getting the Euro Turbo (GT)?
