Well I just got back from 2 weeks of vacation. I drove out to south central PA
and northern West Virgina to vist family and friends and to get away from work. Man I forgot how much I loved the back roads around Johnstown and Altoona, PA. mainly hwy 164 east out of Portage, PA. Man talk about curvy roads and lots of big ear popping hills. Man I just wish I had my video camera so I could mounted to my camera mount on the back seat and filmed the ride. I was in Grafton, WV just before this past weekend to go water skying at my godfathers lake house. There the roads almost as fun but the were not all paved like Hwy164 was. That was also fun, slides threw turns as I headed to the lake. On my way back I stoped in Dayton Saturday and part of Sunday for the Dayton International Airshow. Sunday afternoon I headed back to Kansas City but not till I stop in Indianapolis. As I was going west on I-465 on the south side when I came up on a 2000 BRP 2.5RS Sedan just like mine. SWEET!!! His name was Alan and had just come from a SoloII event and was I heading home. He the swoosh with the 6 stars on the side of his car like they have on the WRC car. Hey Alan, if you see this message. It was nice to meet you and nice to run across another Scoody owner. The one thing nice about the area I was at in PA and in WV was that the Subaru's out numbered the Honduhs! Now that's my kind of country. The funny thing was I still couldn't get away from those Honduh RiceBoys, even in the small town of Portage,(halfway between Johnstown and Altoona, PA). It was a CRX and had Japan lettering all over it and had a huge boom box that took up the whole back seat. Plus he had no tinted windows and you could see everything he had in his back seat. Man, that's just asking for someone to bust out your back windows. Well I back home I wished I had more vacation time. zThe nice part was thw weather compared to KC. Man, highs in the 70's, low humidity. Just before I left KC we were in the 90's with high humidity. Well back to the grid, talk to you guys later.

Being from Pittsburgh, I can definetely relate to the roads. We have some great roads around here for Suby drivers.
The weather has been unusually cold this summer. Normal temps are low 90's with about 80% humidity. It normally really sucks, but it has been GREAT driving weather around here lately. Hope that weather sticks around until the NEOhio meet next Saturday[August 5]. I can tell you that the Hon-duh's outnumber the Suby's in the 'burgh probably at least 5 to 1. |

Nice trip dude! Where you at Tygert Lake? Very cool place there are tons of cool roads down there. Just watch out for those coal and timber trucks. If you head east of Grafton towards Elkins there are a lot of cool dirt roads. Just like the the Duke Boys. You right on the rice though, disappears if you go more than 15 miles away from I-79.

Yeah, I was at Tygart Lake. I was born in Morgantown in 73 while my parents were going to WVU. I spend last weekend at my god father lake house doing some water skying and riding the jet ski. The roads out to his house are wild.
