I think they screwed up it's the 2002 that gets new body style and the Turbo. My dealer is allready taking orders for 2001 RS coupes. He said he expects to have them in by the end of Aug.

Sounds cool, it is too bad they're getting rid of the ol' 2-doors, though

I actually saw a 2001 BRP RS coupe at the dealer in Bloomington, MN last night. It was still dusty and had the white protection foil still on it.

Do they know this as fact or are they just flinging more "I heard it from the dealer's boss's pet cat who overheard it from the turnip truck driver?"

215 hp TURBO'd 2002 WRX??? For a supposed $10,000 more!?!? And it got hit a few times with the ugly stick? No thanks. I'll save my money and get a turbo, clutch, tranny, for my '99, and make 280 hp, what the car is supposed to make!! Disappointed, once again.

215hp sound sabout right. Remember its only going to be the same as the UK model WRX. That and the fact that Fords new turbo Focus (nonCosworth) is to have 215hp, so is the new Alfa coupe, the UK turbo and a couple other cars it seems that the new target is faster but still not fast enough. After all if you give somebody the perfect car or the car of their dreams that means it will be harder to sell them a newer one later on down the line or improve upon the older design.

No idea when it will be out. It was on Top Gear last month. They didn't say much about when and how much or even if it was to ever see the US. Its not likely it will see the US though. I'd slap down cash for the Cosworth Focus. I'd first have to move to the UK, NZ, Australia.

STi Sev,
I hope you are right!!

See, you can't belive anything anymore!!
Not even "seeing is beliving"!!

I mean with all these photoshop hacks out there no picture or document is proof anymore!!

I guess the only way I'll be sure is when I sit in one and turn on the ignition...

Don't knock the 215bhp. There is very little on the roads here that can touch the turbo Scooby for performance and handling. We can outperform RS Cosworths with over 300bhp for goodness sake. Some of you are getting carried away with the idea that BHP is the only thing that matters. Sorry to be rude but you seem to have little understanding of what is important in a peformance car.
