Default How will this sound?

Borla headers -> stromung track pipe -> quiet cat back (or stock exhaust).

right now i have an aftermarket cat back but it sounds like it's stock, i want the boxer rumble.

What i'm looking for is the sound of borla headers with a stromung muffler, will the setup i described give off a sound close to that?

I know that ( Borla headers -> stromung track pipe -> Stromung cat back) will sound nice but also very very loud!
I want a sound like that but quieter and also have the power benefits of a cat less pipe.

I'm just afraid of the noise that comes with a straight pipe exhaust.
any sound clips?

Ok so you want a quiet exhaust, with borla headers, straight pipe and no cat? It just isnt going to happen, especially w/ no cat and the straight pipe. If you want that boxer rumble go with the borlas, and pretty much any cat back system with a canister type muffler.

no, i don't know whether or not i should get the stromung track pipe because i don't know how it will sound, i already have the borlas and an after market exhaust but it's quiet

i know the stromung track pipe will give me power as it eliminates the catalitic converter from the exhaust, i wan't to know how it will sound though

I'd say go with a high flow cat and an unresonated midpipe. Have you seen the Random Tech high flow cat? It looks like it's almost catless. It will still be pretty loud (it's what I have now + a prodrive muffler) but you won't be polluting like a mofo.

haha you want to go catless and be quiet? i am not sure if you want the stock catback because it will be very restrictive and you will lose power

HKS catback, stromung track pipe, and borlas... loud as all hell. Here's what it would sound like.
Listen for yourself
Good luck keeping that quiet

borla>highflow cat>brullen quiet

difference between no cats and one highflow is like nothing in terms of power.

I've got Borla headers, Magnaflow resonator (any brand will do, however) and Flowmaster 60 series exhaust.

It's very rumbly, and quiet at idle.

I couldn't even hear the exhaust when idling the car into the garage today. Believe me, there is a very deep rumble, and total raw boxer sound when on the gas. You want a resonator to cut out the "tin can" sound. I've heard other RS's with the same setup, minus the resonator, and it didn't have the throaty sound of mine.

you see when i bought my rs it already had an aftermarket cat back i don't know what kind it is though. It looks like a scooby sport exhaust except it sounds completely stock, when i put in the Borlas to the mix my car still sounds stock.
Now if i added a stromung track pipe which is catless how would my car sound then? It can't be as loud as what suby25 posted where the car already has a loud exhaust on it even without the track pipe or am i wrong?

The intake you use will also effect teh sound of your car. IT won't effect the exhaust note, but your engine noise does play a part in how your car sounds.

IE. a short ram intake will sound ricey=er than a CAI that sucks air from your fender because the fender muffles the sound and gives it a lower tone.

My AEM short Ram intake sounded a lot riceyer than my Cobb.

Ok when I get on it my car is loud as hell. For daily driving it is pretty tolerable. At idle you can't hear any difference at all. Maybe a little bit more prominent exhast pulse tones but that is about it.

Not in that vid, I reved up to 6250 on one of the revs. My old vid I kept it below 4k at all times but still its loud if you give it a good amount of throttle.

Anywho, I've been driving with this setup for a month or two now and it seems fine. With the windows up you can't hear anything really. On the highway its loud with the windows down. Though even my gf doesn't really complain about my exhaust really. With this setup you will get LOUD, and I cannot emphasize this enough, backfires every once and a while. I get backfires every other time I let off the gas and give it gas again. About 1 in every 30-50 times I do this I get one that is really really loud and I love it personally. Unless I'm in the ghetto when this happens.
