Question geez cube mounting location?

Eric, Kelley or anyone else with one of these:

Care to share where you mount it and how?

The cg is about somewhere between the front ashtray & the handbrake hingepoint (depending on what the driver weighs)since the car has 58.5% of weight on front wheels & 99.2 in. wheelbase (for a '98 per car&criver, 9/97).

did you pull some interior and find a mounting spot underneath? Or did you just stick it in the storage cubbby behind handbrake and call it done? the latter is probably what i'll do (and i'll stop being so anal) since it will only be a foot or so off and not too high up

thanks in advance

My car doesn't have the CD player, and the cube is just the right height to jam into that storage bin. In other people's Imprezas I have secured it with duct tape in the little coin tray area in front of the shifter.

Real high tech, eh? The palm and battery box get jammed between the seat bottom and seat back on the passenger side ;p

You could probably make a cool little mounting plate for the cube that would drop into the center console though, and a backing plate to secure the battery box and palm to.

Minix,

I didn't know either so I did a search on Google:

Looks to be a Palm based car data acquisition thingy. Pretty neat. I love my Palm!

Cheers,

jeff

GEEZ helps you analyze your driving and the performance of the car. The 'cube' is an accelerometer. You can use a palm pilot or laptop to record the data from the cube, and there is a Windows application that analyzes the data, maps the course, and rates your driving.. It also gives some information about the car performance.

Here is a GEEZ screenshot:
