Default Help! Taillights stuck on

I parked the car tonight and noticed that I could still see some red on the trees behind me. Even though my headlights were off, and the car was off, my taillights were still on. I pulled the "tail clearance" fuse; it's not blown and I haven't had a chance to pop a new one in to see if that fixes anything (no 10A fuses handy)

I have Morettes w/ HID's. I used to have Morette LED mirrors but I went back to the stock mirrors. I still have a wire coming off the turn signal wire, stuck in the door; I was going to leave it there and install JDM sidemarkers someday. Could this be spazzing out the taillights?

This is not the first problem I've had; previously I had a problem where the fuse went and the taillights didn't work (even though the brake lights still did)

thanks for any ideas!

john

my morettes did this once but only with the headlights.

do you have the little parking light switch on the steering wheel turned on? no idea what it does, have had the car for 20k miles and never fooled with it... but its gotta leave some lights on when you turn off the car i am thinking.

sorry if i am wasting your time.

I'm an idiot, thanks. I accidentally bumped it on; my Rev-lite is right on top of that switch. I ought to cut the wire to that damn switch. When it was the taillights I assumed it was related to my earlier problem. I didn't know it did the taillights too!
