Post Does the warranty cover the tires?

Had the car for about a little over a month and the passenger side rear tire has a slow leak in it. Is this covered by warranty? I don't really have time to hit up the dealer right now, so I thought I'd ask you guys!

Sorry but there is no road-hazard protection on the tires unless you bought a separate road-hazard warranty from a Bridgestone dealer (assuming you have an RS with Bridgestones rather than Firestones on an Outback or potentially Yoko's on a Forester.)

let's see here, it says "These warrenties do not cover any parts, such as tires, which are covered by their own separate warrenties"
BUT, the tires do have their own warrenty, you'll prolly have to take it to a Firestone/Bridgestone dealer. Maybe the Subaru dealer will fix it.

If there is a slow leak in it not from road hazards (nails, etc) then I believe it should be covered. I know any decent tire place will waranty that for you.

If the leak in the tire is NOT due to road hazard (such as if the valve is leaking ... etc), they you are covered under warrant! The Bridgestone/Firestone warranty pamphlet that came with my MY00 states:

"will be replaced free of charge during the first 25% of treadwear or within the first 12 months after purchase (proof of purchase and purchase date are required), whichever occurs first."

The warranty pamphlet also says that any warranty claim should be addressed to an authorized Bridgestone/Firestone retailer.

However, the dealership may help you out.

Hope this helps, email me if you want more info from the warranty pamphlet.

OR within the first 12 months after purchase? I wonder if I can wear my RE92's down to nothing quick and then get them to replace them since they wore so quick... (oops! must've been a soft run of tires!) LOL

I had a low tire press in one of mine the first week.. almost went flat on me. I took it to a Bridgestone place, and they took it off and checked for leaks and stuff. Turned out that it was only low on air, but they checked it for free and if it had been defective they would have replaced it.

Yea, I just got off the phone and explained to them that my tire doesn't have any nails that I can see in it. Gave me a big attitude. A$$hole. Three different places. Sheesh. Im gonna double check my tired real fast before I bring it in to them. Sigh, gotta fill up the stinkin trash can with water..
