Talking Heads?

Are the '99 EJ25 heads the same as the 2000 and newer heads?

I believe so. Did you get my message about that engine for sale?

Good to hear. I can't wait to see you put the "EJ22t w/SOHC EJ25 heads won't work" naysayers to rest!

Hasn't this been done already? I know I've read countless threads in AFI about this combo, seems the only big issue is the compression ratio being a little low.

I won't be the first one! I'm basing my build on another FL member who is currently driving an RS with EJ22t & SOHC EJ25 heads! He posts under the name Wedge here...

99 SOHC are the same as 200 SOHC heads. People have had 99 EJ25's with DOHC heads.

Obviously SOHC and DOHC are not the same.

Can't wait to see your car in the making, or even when it's done. Someday I'll be getting a swap too.
