Default What do you have to do to lose your license to practice medicine?

More than this apparently:

Dr. Phuoc Huu Vo, Hawthorne: Committed acts of gross negligence, repeated negligence, incompetence, violated drug laws, failed to maintain adequate and accurate medical records, practiced under a fictitious name without a permit, failed to comply with drug labeling and packaging requirements, and failed to produce patient records. Revocation of license stayed, seven years' probation. Effective Nov. 17.

Note: Copies of the public record documents attendant to these cases are available by calling the medical board's file room at (916) 263-2525.

Source: Medical Board of California, Sacramento.

"...practiced under a fictitious name without a permit..."

These documents are all a matter of public record. I saw this information in the LA Times and visited the Medical Board of California website. There is some interesting stuff there.

isn't it true that a Physician can get a license in a different state even if he had his license revoked in another state?

I'm not sure about that, but obviously you do have to disclose a history of liscense suspension or loss when applying for a state liscense elsewhere and have to attach a detailed explanation of the circumstances that led to the loss of the liscense. I guess there is a chance you can still practice in another state depending on the decision the state board makes.
