Thumbs up Florida East Coast AutoCross May 21st

Just wanted to see if anyone else was interested in the Autocross in Palm Bay Florida on Sunday May 21st. Looks like we may have as many as Five Subies so far. For those of you in Florida who have no idea where Palm Bay is it is east of Orlando on the coast. An hour south of Daytona Beach and two hours north of Fort Lauderdale.

If your interested go to http://www.eec.com/racing/ and sign up. If you need further directions let me know.

Have a Nice Day?

Eh emm, I WILL (try to) BE THERE!
Nah guys this time wild horses could not drag me away. I have a plan for 'em
Nah I check my schedule and my car is not booked to give problems on that weekend, so I will be making the journey. Hopefully someone else on the south coast will caravan up with me since my honda buddy has now disowned me for getting his hopes up twice. oh well, he only drove a honda anyway

Nick,
My car is begining to think its the only BRP RS in Florida. I keep telling it there are others, it just doesn't believe me.

But if we can get a few more of the folks from the south east that would be great. I'm trying to get my neighbor to bring his M3 out and a guy here at work has a A4 that wants to check things out.

RSChic and SUV ETR are coming along with Opie and I think Drew is going to come down from St. Augustine. So anyone else in the Tampa area YOU ARE WELCOME TO COME AS WELL.. Orlando area...We'd love to have you there.

Well Opie doubts my car even exists so I have to make an appearance. 2 weeks gives me loads of time to get my stuff in and get my car in showroom shape.
hopefully I will have some cool stuff for the FL peoplez to show off. Other than the amazing headlight conversion.
I will hopefully have my new wheels by then, I will let you know Opie, if you are still interested in the takeoffs.

Well I guess if you do a search you will find out, but I am getting 16x7 ADVAN RGs in White. The things weigh 12lbs! I was going to go for the volks but then the price made me go ouch! I like the RCs better but I believe in function over form, and I think the RGs are the lightest rims for the price. Think they will serve me well for the AutoX, now all I need is some really good autoX tyres and I am done (and poor!). Hopefully I will get to show everything off soon. and give lots of joy-rides.

Nick,
when you come up, check out my Kumho 712s to see if you like them. Neal (SUV ETR) will be bringing his BFG R1s but they are not real good to daily drive on, just wear out very fast, not that you can't daily drive them it just isn't economical.

Anyone Else In Florida..... Anyone? Autocross in Palm Bay....... See other Subies Race....... C'mon folks I know more than 5 of us can make this event... PLEASE!!!!!!

Drew with you and Possibly Matt, we should have Six Subies there.

Maybe we should all meet up at the McDonalds on the west side of I-95 on Malabar, its on the right side and we could all drive onto the site together. We could get breakfast there and meet up early or just before we go to the site that way we can all park together. If this sounds good let me know and I'll make sure everyone knows how to get there.

I've got video from the Ft.Myers auto-x and Neal has got pictures. Matter of fact, I think there are some pics of Neal on the Gulf Coast Autocrossers page.

Yeah, I didn't run at Ft. Myers, it would have taken me about an hour to unload all the baby gear! Plus it was a little hot out there so smallalien jr. was sittin in the car with the a/c on!

NickSTi - You'd better be there on the 21st! I remember something about "wild horses couldn't stop me from missing this one"! If you don't want to drive have AAA tow you & your car up! LOL

wrxwannabe - McDonalds sounds fine, let me know what time!

Opie,
I was thinking around 8:00 that way we can give everyone time to gather and get a bite to eat before we drive to the site. Which is only about a block away.

Nick,
I saw the other post, "some stomping" does this mean you are gonna be there the 21st? I had to tell my RS not to get its hopes up. that another BRP RS would be there...

Matt,
Just checking to see if you are gonna be able to make it. We'd be glad to have you up our way. My wife is alway happy when there are a few more females for her to talk to. Katie is going to be there with Neal SUV ETR as well.

Drew,
How are things going for you. Did you have any trouble registering. If so don't worry, like Opie said its just as easy to register at the site.

I am still open to firing up the grill at my house afterwards, its only about 15 minutes away and feeding everyone, if you all are interested let me know. The event is usually over around 1:30 or 2:00 so you still could eat and get home at a resonable hour.

Let me know
Eric

Meaning long distance stomping!
This is the truth, it woudl seem that I am just making my RS look bad when she can commit and I cant (sounds like a bloomin soap!) so I wont say anything anymore when you all mention autoX and I will just show up if i can make it. Or message you all on my way there. Boy I was looking foward to showing off some toys, but more delays as usual.
