Talking My son gets another repair warning in my00

My son is 17 and I blessed him to let him go and get gas in my car.On the way home he was pulled over and the moron cop walked around the car and told him that the dual tip stromung was illegal because I am not aloud to take a stock muffler and cut a hole in it to make dual pipes sticking out of it(like I said he was a moron).Because the muffler is one piece to the cat he thought I took a cutter and put two extensions on it.Then he said I had to take the vinyl strip off the windshield and put my front tag on.I have a crack in the windshield and he didn't say anything about that.I have clear bumper and side lights.20%tinted windows nothing said about them. Then on the repair ticket he put glass and steering as the only two things to repair.(steering was above exhaust so he circled the wrong one)like i said he must have been a moron.
Why would a cop stop someone and not know what in the world he was doing about aftermarket products?

Hey, I'm 17 and I'm blessed to have my own RS. Tell your son that. Anyway, that's one funny cop story. It's probably because a 17 yr old was driving.

Talking

about the jealous thing .I realy did think thats what it was .My son said the cop was asking questions like, what do you do for a living boy.So I do believe the cop making about 40k per year was jealous.

Hey then go to court and take your chance to make the cop look like either an ass or an idiot. Maybe he was just ignorant of the cars actual specs and assumed the worst. That or he just knows nothing about cars, in which you should at least allow the judge to give him some prompting to at least make an effort to learn. I know of one cop in Maryland who used to own a Legacy GT and he could probably give alot more info on Subaru's then alot of us could. Too bad he drives an Audi now.

Sometimes I wish I drove an old beater of a car so I wouldn't have to put up with the ish that I get all the time.

I feel for your lame fix-it tickets...been there done that. Just about everyone who has the power to screw me over has done so. Lots of times.

But then I drive away..and remember that I have one of the world's coolest cars and they don't!
