Default Wow.. structure is overpriced!

So I went to the mall today to use some gift cards.. I need some "nice" but casual clothes. They had polos on sale for 15.99 and right next to them they had a very similiar shirt except it was striped instead of solid... and they were going for $39.99! It was the only shirt in the store that I wanted but I couldn't justify spending 40 freaking bucks on shirt... even if it isn't my money.

Whats the point of this? Well nothing.. just thought I'd waiste your time.

When they have sales they have good prices.

I need dress shirts for work and they have good deals on them when they have sales.

Plus I like their jeans, super comfortable, again great price when on sale.

that's why you have to wait until stuff goes on sale. or until you get a coupon in the mail. or they have the "fast cash" promotion so you get money to spend for spending money. i just bought a dress from new york & co. that i think originally cost $75 for $20 cuz it was on clearance and i had a 30% off coupon

I have to disagree.

Structure - now known as Express Men sells some of the highest quality clothing I've ever worn. I used to be a cheapskate with my clothes, buying the cheapest stuff I could, like Old Navy, AE, etc. Those clothes just start falling apart after a few washes. And also at 27 I am outgrowing AE's "everything is wrinkled and ripped already" line of clothing. Old Navy is ok for casual lounge stuff, but AE is now a total dump.

Express Men clothes on the other hand are very worth the extra money because they last. However I would never pay $40 for a polo. I usually hit the sale that is 2 polos for $34. That's a deal. As a matter of fact I am wearing their jeans and their polo right now. Comfortable stuff, not that cheap shrinking crap you usually get.

You get what you pay for.

Because I refuse to spend $40 on a shirt that cost structure <10 cents to make. After shipping, import tax.. it should come to maybe 20 cents... add the cost of the rent and the hourly for the employees.. tack on a few bucks. Lets say after everything is said and done.. $10. Hell, lets give them $15 so they can grow and expand... but $40? No thanks.

I totally agree with cwb124. They have some nice quality clothes.

The trick, as others have said, is to go during a sale.

I have several $10 polo shirts from Old Navy that are going into their 3rd year of usage. I also just bought 3 button downs, 1 polo shirt, a long sleeve T, and a pair of shorts for $70 from Old Navy. That's value. You'd be lucky if you can buy one pair of shorts and a polo shirt from Structure for that much.

Ever think of what else costs VERY little to produce, yet you buy without hesitation?

I find that old navy is usually hit or miss. Sometimes you get something really good for cheap and sometimes you get total crap.

I buy my jeans there. $20 a piece you cant beat that.

I bought 16 gauge cargo pants from AE and they have lasted 3 years. I had to retire one pair, but the other is still strong. yes.. I pay attention to the guage of pants when I buy them.

And last or not, Express men clothes are sissy.

No, what? I'm a cheapskate.. remember. The only thing I buy is food and pay for bills... I honestly try to save most every penny I earn and put in the stock market. I make my money work for me
