Default ea82 overhaul kits

Can anybody suggest a place to purchase a fairly complete overhaul kit for ea82s?

Subaru Banner rebuild kit for ea82

No, i can't help you with the rebuild kit, but just thought i'd let you know you are not alone. I have looked all over the place and they just say they are not available... If you locate one please let me know.

I just defaulted to my friendly neighborhood NAPA store, and they provided surprisingly good support. I only replaced head gaskets on out, and they got everything I needed except for the oil pump gaskets. They said that was only included as part of a complete overhaul kit. But my not-so-local suby dealer was glad to order those gaskets and ship them to me.

So, now that I have my EA82C (NAPA designation for carbed?) nearly finished, I am ready to start rebuilding my EA82T for next years motor swap. Can anyone point me in a good direction for specialty tools, like the one needed to remove wrist pins from EA82 motors?

I wonder if it would be best to just get a rebuilt motor from CCR engines. They are, after all, the most respected Subaru engine rebuilder in the country

Yep NAPA, they quoted me $250 for the "master" kit (rings, bearings and seals) for my EA82T. Head work should run you about $250 for valve grind, stem hight and seals (take the seals from the kit to the head guys, should save you a few bucks). If you need the cylinders bored it should run about $200 for bore, hone and block cleaning, oversize pistons are $50 each. If it does need a bore it might be better/cheaper to just go with CCR.
