Considering the Sebring, n.a. Eclipse, and Cavalier's share the same engine and Hahn Racecraft has a Neon running 10's , I would go with those guys.

I RK sports might only carry superchargers.

The 2.4 in the old Sebring & Eclipse is a Mitsu product while the 2.4 in the Cav Z24 is a GM design.

I don't mean to flame anyone either but the first time I took my subaru into the shop they gave me a 2000 cavalier as a loaner car. That was the worst car I have ever driven in my life, no power at all, handled absolutely terrible, the brakes shifted the car violently if you stopped hard, and the interior was bad also. The car had just over 1000 miles on it, so I don't think it was worn out at all, I think it must have come from the factory like that. Maybe the higher models are better (I sure hope so) but the base one is horrible.

I just got out of a 2000 Cavalier myself.

My feelings:

It was FUN! OK, I knew I would get my 2-door Legacy with the flat-6 engine back in two days, but while I was in the Cav I would go allo the plase I would go in my Subie, just to see how it felt.

Even in the Cav I was still passing people in the outside lanes of curves, the car was so underpowered that you did not notice the severe understeer at all. (Is that a good thing?)

I tried to race a GS-400 on the highway... I would pull up next to him, goose the engine, slowly pull ahead and then flash my 4-ways as if I had won. I also drag raced at BMW 3-series, but he must have launched poorly because I was all the way across the intersection and he was just starting to enter it. Another car slayed by my rental Cavalier!

My Cav was an Auto, but try shifitng it-- gears 1 and 2 disabled the traction control. Lack of a tachometer made for interesting upshifts.

If the Sunfire has the same engine as the Cav, but with the standard Pontiac foglights, and the same suspension, I don't see why anyone would even THINK about turbocharging it!

Only in such an underpowered car can you get away with such sloppy suspension. I am sure that a hard yank on the steering wheel while at 60mph will roll the car for certain.

85 in that car felt like 135 in my Subaru. (That's kph for you boys in blue )

The 2.4 is much, much stronger than the base 2.2 you find in rentals.
