What front end is that and where can get one? It is sweet. The scoop can be turned around? Are there any benefits from it other not being able to suck up small children and animals?

Its a C-West front end with custom made fender flares. Inverting the hood scoop is beneficial for the front mount intercooler to help pull the air through the engine compartment.

Best of all, Byron's car is a 93 L AWD Sedan!!!

Actually, from what I understand, Byron's claims of engine power, while somewhat exaggerated, are not exaggerated THAT MUCH. Ask Joel Gat, once Byron's biggest detractor, and now a partial believer.

I like the flares. Very tasteful, but not garish.

I saw this posted on the Audi Forum

"10.7 @ 140+(yesterday he had to limit it to 12.1 cuz of track restrictions) started as a 93 Subi Impreza L!!!!! fricken 6" wider than an RS now, w/ 245/40/17s, straight cut gears, etc, etc, and it was his daily driver!
"

i think it was a audi event... and he was there...and ran.

Byron got the idea of the reversed scoop from CUSCO (that's what Byron told me too ). One of their race cars had it this way. My understanding is that it's creating a low pressure point so air from the engine bay is sucked out, and that causes more air to be sucked in through the front and through the IC.

doripreza,

Tell Byron he really needs to proofread his site. The bio page is unreadable. I think they got the body of the text in the formatting somewhere. I had to view source in Netscape and paste it into a text file to read it.

Also, when's he going to have a full listing of products? I'm looking for quotes on a built drivetrain, and would welcome his input and competition.
