I know for a fact that TSW does make rims at 50mm offsets. The only problem is that they are only available on special order and delivery, and they cost an arm and a leg compared to the same rim, but in lower offsets.
If you will spend that much $$$, then go for rims which are made for the Impreza (Speelines, Euro OZ, or Racelines!)
just my 0.02$
Take care

KC, 17x7 sounds good, tire size sounds good,
offset is a bit spooky! Sounds like fender
roll to me! Even some 45mm offsets rub if
car is too low.

I too was looking at swaping my 17 tsw alpines from my stereo pig car to the impreza. TSW says that size will be ok for the Impreza. I am not sure I believe them. Needless to say I am waiting to save up some cash. Panasport make some nice rims, a 17x7 nice thick five spoke.
Check out the wheels on Chrisj's car while are Carlisle: http://www.geocities.com/prezios/car...00/image34.jpg www.Rallispec.com The price they gave me was $325/wheel. They are 17x7.5 and 48mm offset

a set of clear turn signals! (just a paid
advertisement for WRX-STi's Clear Lense

I would rethink getting the Team Loco 142 if you are planning to do a brake upgrade. My friend has some 16's on his Suby and the calipers seem closer to the rim than the stock set. I didn't measure them side by side but that is what they looked like.

I thought too low of an offset would make it rub horizontally not vertically. so why would lowering th car make a difference

Donald, will you please scale down the pics a bit. You are messing up the layout, hehe. Plus, people with dial-up connection have to wait long time for these billboards too load up.

Post TSW Wheels

Does anyone have TSW wheels on their RS?
I am looking at getting a set of 17" IMOLA's or Team Loco 142 Anthracite. I know the Team Loco's will work but what about the TSW wheels? I see that they are a 40mm offset. Will they still work on the RS and have no tire rub?

You may have trouble with the TSW's if they
are 17x8 with a 40mm offset. Tire size will
be critical as well as retaining stock height
of car. You will probably have to roll fender
lips on rear.

I am looking at the 17x7 wheels and I will look at getting a tire size to keep the same width and diameter.
I am looking to mount some Yoko Parada's or Kuhmo 712's on them in a 205/45 or 40ZR17.

No way, that looks sweet!!!!!
I can get a set of them for $599 here at a shop in town and they have them in stock.

VALENTA, you said, If you will spend that much $$$, then go for rims which are made for the Impreza (Speelines, Euro OZ, or Racelines
They are nice but cost WAY TOO MUCH for me!!!!!
Like I said, they are only going to be $599 a set of 17x7 TSW IMOLA's, new.
Someone else said that the brakes would be too close with the Team Loco wheels. No, they will be just fine. They were going to be about $556 a set in 17x7.

TMR Impreza, now that I see them on a Impreza, I am going with the TSW Wheels, plus I am in the work in getting a set of KYB AGX struts and a Whiteline rear sway bar.

KC_TopDog,

Correct me if I'm wrong but the last time I checked,TSW didn't have wheels in 48 or 50mm offsets. If you go with any TSW wheels in 40mm offset, you'll have to roll the fenders like TMR(Donald) and me. This will most likely chip some paint in the rear wheel wells and you might not be able to reuse your wheel well liner protectors(black trim around the wheel well) If you look at the TMR's above pics, you'll notice that he doesn't have the black trim piece on the back wheel arches.

Thumbs up

KC_....,
If you can get the TSW with the correct offset for that price, than maybe I would like to buy a set also, but Hokkenheim Rs! At my shop, they said that TSW charges a lot more for higer offset wheels.
Anyway, take care, and good luck

TMR Impreza, I have a question. The HockR's that are on the car now, what size are they (and the tire size) and did you have to do anything special (I think I heard you rolled the fenders) when it was lowered (you have TEIN's coilovers I assume)? Also, if you don't mind, what did they cost (sans tires)?

BTW I love the way the car looks, even if I am not a big fan of the graphics.

Thanks

At the Hollywood Park Auto-x (same week-end as the North-South meet) there was a white Impreza with TSW Revos that looked really good. I think it was from San Diego. I talked to the owner, but forgot his name. He said that he had to have them machined. I thought he said something about machining the bolt holes, though I'm not sure. I think I have a photo, but don't know how to post it here in the board.

I am ruinning 18X7.5 TSW Hock R's. I did the imposible and ran 40 offset wheels. I have 215-35-18's. All I did was roll the rear fenders. And I had to do that with the 17's. As to how much I paid, Can't say. I had a really good deal.

TMR Impreza, I now have more questions, humor me please.
Have you had any problems other than the rubbing with the 17's 18's? Such as driving squirrely/poor handling? Reason I ask is
with 17x7's the 40mm offset that reduces track be nearly an inch and I'm figuring that 40mm offset in the 7.5 is a little better concerning reduction in track width ( my estimation is .5 inch). Anything strange on either wheel? Also I will assume that nothing else went wrong (wheel bearings, etc...not that it should, but). How much mileage have you had one the upgraded rolling stock?

Did you get rubbing with the 17x7's with the stock suspension or only when you upgraded? Like I said, I have the 5x100, +40 offset, 17x7 TSW Alpine's with 205/45-17 Falken Zeix sitting on the old car. I might have to swap them to see WTF, just have to get the approiate lug nuts, I believe. Odd thing is that TSW recommends 40mm offset for our cars, and I always figured they had to have some clue as to what they were doing. Maybe they do.

Thanks
Bob O

Oh kewl DNA grafix!!! Oh wait it's springs...Those wheels are really popular with civics. Are they cheap? Cus alot of so so rice civics have them. No offence to the owner. Just wondering. Some can come with a red centre too.

The Rims you see in those pics are the rims that are now on my car! I like them, 18's are better for one reason I can find, they are closer to the overall Stock height of a Stock tire, therefore the Speedo isn't affected as much!
You can see more pics of the rims on my Stock Height car here http://perrisautospeedway.com/home/page4.html
