Post stage one or two?

I know I don't have a car blah blah blah
This is just for my car knowledge in general. Here is what I have gathered

Stage I: really safe reliable, really easy to install. Everthing is a breeze. HP: 230 (guess) at crank and 154 confirmed at the wheels. over 95 stock (definetly a honda beater. Price from asr $2700 with ball bearing *ohhh ball bearing* (read homer style)PSI 5

Stage II: @ 8 psi not so safe not so reliable need lots of gauges: EGT, fuel pressure. J&S knock sensor, apex retarder, fuel pump, fuel pressure riser. Price $4200 from minnam definetly a corvette killer, if your car doesn't blow up. HP about 280 at the crank
Now I know this is kinda a slanted view but It seems that the stage I is a lot more sensible, not nessacary the best but definetly more sensible.
fell free to prove me wrong

it obviously depends on what you want. Do you want to go fast or really fast? It's a simple choice. Having the funds is a separate matter entirely, however.

Cool

You know you don't have to turn up the boost if you have the stage 2. It would be better to have all of the electronic stuff AND a intercooler which will put more air into the car.

I would argue that a Stage II set up is less stressful on an engine than a non-intercooled Stage I. With a colder charge and a knock sensor, it's hardly what I would call risky. The only real caveat is to keep boost down to a level where you're not running lean. That's probably around 7psi with stock injectors, stock pressure and stock fuel pump. YMMV, of course.

i have an SFC, apex ITC, RX7tt fuel pump and weapon R FPR. I still do not have a RR FPR, or bigger injectors. My jumptronix read .92 -> .89 when running 10lbs of boost from 4K->6K rpm. I think this is a high, safe number. Unfortunately, I cannot go any higher with my slipping clutch. I will probably need either when I want to go to 12 or 14lbs.

Why waste time with a stage 2? Stage 10 I say.
On another note, what does stage I, II, III really mean? Is it like a standard where:
I - no IC
II - IC
III - Change pistons, compression, etc?

So, I'm thinking about installing the stage II kit. But to do so, do I need stage I done first? Also, what is meant by "at the crank" versus "at the wheel"? Is this in reference to HP lost? Finally, what is the total gain in HP for a stage II kit, once installed?
