Hi
I also posted this on the electrical forum but it didn't look like it had near as much traffic. 1998 outback, auto,2.5 Several years ago we received a notice for service program WXX-81 concerning need for the inspection and possible replacement of the alternator. At the time we lived about 1 1/2 hours from a dealer, and would have to plan an all day stay. With health and all, that didn't really work. We have since moved but still are an hour from a dealer. We put very few miles on the car per year.. Can someone tell me what the inspection was for ( from a phone call I got the impression it was a check of a date code, suffix or the like. ) The service manager would not really tell me much. WABIT
