Default "Turbo" badge?

I coulda swore there was a chrome "Turbo" badge on the Turbo models where the AWD badge is on the tailgate. Did I make it up, or has anybody else seen such a badge? Anybody know where I can get something like that made up? Is there a Turbo badge from another car or truck that might look good?

I'm putting on my Snuglid this weekend, I'll post on that later.

Less obvious, but correct display will be a Mitsubishi logo, along with "MHI." Those who know the truth will smile, but others will laugh at you

Default MHI = Mistsubishi Heavy Industries?

I've got no experience with MHI. Translation please? Mighty High Induction? ; )

Sorry, it's Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Co. Ltd., a Mitsubishi Group company who makes the turbo in Baja Turbo.

Good luck with your snuglid install. Just make sure they send you the right screws. You need 45mm #6 screws. If they're only 40mm it'll be hard to get them to catch.

braveit1,

Thanks for your concern! Based on that very thread (I do some homework) ; ) I already removed a bed screw and tried one of the bolts supplied with my snuglid. Apparently Snuglid got the message cuz they fit perfectly AND they're bolts not screws, so ya put em in with a ratchet. Hmmm, I didn't measure them for length cuz the previous problem was the screws were SAE not metric. I'll measure 'em tonight. Have you installed a Snuglid and found that you need 45mm?

Sorry i don't have any pics, but i do have another emblem. When i bought mine they came in a pair for $20.00.I stuck mine under the AWD emblem. The emblem size is about 4 inches long and 1/2 inch tall.If your interested i'll sell you the other emblem for 10.00 shipped.I would have liked to have found one that is trimed in red like the Baja emblem but no luck.

The instructions/pictures I posted was from my install and yes I found the 40mm bolts were not long enough for me. The only place were that really mattered was the two bolts near the cab where the bolts have to go through the "L" brackets and the rail brackets. You may get the shorter ones to fit if you had someone push hard on it while you put it in place. It's easier to just get the longer ones.

That's the Porsche Carrera Turbo emblem, I think. I don't think it fits because of the different type styles. I think the back already looks too busy. I'm going to take off the Subaru logo and the AWD emblem and leave the Baja emblem. If I could find a turbo emblem that I liked (something generic) I would probably take the Baja emblem off too because I think it's ugly.

Default Not Bad- Might As Well Have Another Font ; )

I considered the Porche badges but thought they'd look too busy so I ended up with the GTI badges which I put on the front quarter panels.

I took a look at the make your own bage site it is pretty cool, i'm thinking about putting an aftermarket turbo in my 03 baja and if i do i may add the turbo badge due to the fact that it would be unique up here in canada.
