Default 300WHP on stock turbo and pump gas?

I asked a similar question a few months ago and never really got a straight answer. I would like to know if it is possible to get a safe 300WHP out of an STi with stock turbo and stock I/C running pump (92oct) gas.

Due to budget and warranty issues I do not want to change the turbo or I/C, but I am more than happy to buy a good TBE, port the turbo, and add some "tuning" (who's is best?), etc. Will I be able to get the power I want with this combo?

For guys who have modded but not dyno'd their cars, my guess is a 300WHP STi should trap around 106-108MPH in the 1/4. Anyone running those speeds? What parts did you use to get there?

Thanks for your help!

I know of a good number of STi's making over 300WHP on pump gas.

Two with the GpMoto STi stage kit have done 320+ on 92 octane pump gas at the Unichip NA dyno.

To sum up its

GPMoto short ram
GPMoto header
GPMoto TBE (now in Titanium for the bling bling.... Lol)
Unichip PnP

That Is it... That is all... 320+WHP on multiple cars

This isn't the only road for sure, but its the only one that *I* personaly have seen that did it on the stock intercooler. So I'll let others tell of thier own personal experience.

Oh and btw Unichip dyno puts a stock turbo at 230WHP for the high run on the base line STi. The Base line Forester 2.5XT was 180WHP.

I have done it but it's difficult as the turbo is maxed out badly at those power levels.

I just pulled 280 whp and 287 FT-lbs tq last sunday.
93 octane - Turboback exhaust only - Stock boost level
No other Real mods to speak of.
I don't have far to go to get 300whp.

Try the Vishnu web site they are really good.

http://www.vishnutuning.com/welcome.htm

380 BHP and lot of torque with only a 3 Turbo-back exhaust and an XEDE engine compute. It can run pump gas or race gas, and only $2200.

Thats 380 crankshaft HP.
Whats the WHP?
That figures to 300 whp @ 21% drivetrain loss.
I will try to test the unichip and the exhaust I have and am sure to get 300whp.
I also will only have 3" exhaust.
This setup will be well under $2200.

Thats on a bone stock STi with only a UTEC thrown in. I'd say with turbo back you (and I, hehe ) will get that 300whp

That post states a Turboback and a FMIC. Not quite bone stock.
