You may have some trouble if you limit your search to NGKs...

I found some Bosch single platinums that were two steps colder than stock at Pep Boiyzz (paid $7.50 for a set). Any parts store should have them. Sorry I don't know the part number, but I just went in the store and had one of the parts guys look them up in the book.

They should know what you are looking for, just make sure you are very clear with them. Like, "I JUST PUT ON A TURBO, I NEED COLDER PLUGS, I DO NOT NEED STOCK PLUGS, I NEED COLDER PLUGS, I JUST PUT ON A TURBO."

Napa is probably your best bet as far as auto places go, for some reason their employees seem to be a cut above the other places. Also, I've heard that the Bosch +4s are not a good idea with forced induction, that's why I just got the single platinums. Copper plugs are actually better, but don't last nearly as long. In addition, get a spark plug gapper, and make sure you're using a smaller gap with a turbo. This is just as important as getting a colder plug. I run a gap of .35, but I don't know what other people use, I'd be interested to find out so I'll start a post because I'm going to change my plugs soon.

When I get my turbo, I'm going for those Iridium plugs. Anyone know who makes them?

Hmm... yes I would like to have those as well. But at $20-30 per plug I'm going to make sure that my engine is tuned perfectly before I even think about them.

You might consider VX NGK platnum plugs ... saw them advertised for $7 in SCC, Dynamic Turbo out of FL I believe. They have colder ranges I believe.

Thumbs up

I just changed my plugs.....again.....for the forth time. I started with Chumpions ( how the hell did THEY get in there)from the factory. Then I went to TorqueMasters while I was still N/A. After I supercharged it, I went to Bosch Platinum+4, but wait! Then I went to NGK BKR5S-11. Too hot! OK, this is the last time I'm changing my freakin plugs. I went and special ordered some NGK platinum BKR7EVX-11 and put them in. Finally got the right plug in there. I'm going to pull one out next week to see how it is burning. 7's are prety cold.
