Default Thread expectency for Goodyear GS-D3 vs Falken FK451

Hi guys,
I'm having hard time debating which tires to get for my tarmac 2s.
It's narrowed down between Falken FK451 at $96/tire plus $50 shipping and Goodyear Eagle 1 GS-D3 for $160/tire plus $30 shipping (missed the $75 gas card promo).

I found one guy on here who claims he got about 18k out of FK451, which is pretty bad in my opinon.

What do you guys get out of GS-D3s?

Thanks.

will be using 225/45/17

I just bought F1GS-D3s, and much like all the other tires I've owned, they're made of rubber rather than being knitted. So, I don't expect to get any thread out of them.

Hope that helps...

You could get 6 FK-451's for the price of 4 Goodyears....

Got them instead of the Goodyears. Price was the same from Tirerack for the 225-45-17s. It outperformed the Goodyears in the Tirerack test. Check out their web site and decide. Goodyears look good, too. Softer sidewall though and turn-in isn't as crisp as Michelins, according to Tirerack.

I think the PS2's are the right choice for mostly dry San Diego. However, there is one area of performance where the Goodyear comes out on top - compared to any tire - and that is in resistance to hydroplaning.

Goodyears for Houston, in my opinion.
