I haven't heard of anyone upgrading the radiator but it couldn't hurt you would probably see cooler engine temps not by much but probably some I would spend the money elsewhere on a turbo timer or another precautionary device.

I think Id just make sure I had a big enough intercooler, run a high water to antifreeze mix, and get an oil cooler if necessary.

The '98 spec RS Radiator use the same core as a WRX 'cept the endcaps, so it works fine. I use an OEM Subaru oil/water heat exchanger (i.e. oil cooler) from a Forester. WRX's use this unit as well.

It mounts to your oilfilter, and you hook it up to your cooling system. Totally bolt on setup, uses a replacement thermostat housing, and a coolant plug on the bottom of the block. It also helps warm your car up when it's cold too - very nice thing for us turbo folk. Take it easy! - Arik

Arik,

Where did you get the oil cooler kit, and how much was it?

I also would recommend a bottle of Water Wetter (~$8). This works really well in Turbo DSM and turbo hondas. I have a bottle at home.

It's all OEM Subaru stuff, you can get it at the dealer - Or better yet - Teague's Auto. Dale can get it for sure. I also have been using water wetter for years. You can't run coolant when you race motorcycles, so everyone use water wetter. Just gotta change it alot though, which can be a pain in the a$$.
