BFGoodrich g-Force T/A KDW-2?

I am thinking to get BFGoodrich g-Force T/A KDW-2 245/40-18 for my street/autox tires. At Tirerack, KDW-2 has higher dry and wet traction ratings than Kuhmo MX and KDW-2 also has higher treadwear. If MX is consider to be competitive, would KDW-2 be a better choice based on the Tirerack's rating? Here is a link:

I am running 18" wheels, so Azenis is out of the picture. So, has anyone have any experience with KDW-2s? and would it be competitive in autox(STU)? Thanks!

They should be alright but tread blocks will probably squirm like crazy and I have seen them chunk from getting too hot.

much better choice.

i used to run the original KDW and as a pure performance tire it was superior in every way to the Ver 2. the 2 has a tread designed more with car shows in mind, but they still designed it to handle fairly well in dry and wet.

the orig. KDW was considerably slower in the dry to Azenis, KD, and others, but it made up for that by not dropping off in the wet near as much as they did.
