Post ANyone ever install dual exhaust??

Just wondering if it is possible and what performance gaines it would give. Thanks

There was talk of this a few days ago, and yes it is "possible" considering the way the engine is layed out. However, there wouldn't be any gain, but maybe losses. I cannot remember exactly why, but it's something to do with the engine pulses not being able to compliment each other, or something to that effect. It would look cool as hell tho

I remember someone posting a picture of his dual exhaust on an Impreza but I forget his name...I think he was from Canada if I'm correct

A company in Switzerland makes a dual outlet pipe for the Impreza, i will see if i can find the pics we were sent, i didnt really like it though.

I just picture a mustang or camaro guy at a stoplight laughing at me I don't even want to go over 3 inches on the exhaust tip b/c of rice comments. The car will never make enough exhaust gas to use it any way. just my opinion. btw

I would imagine you'd lose power if you ran each side from the heads to tail pipe without a crossover tube to help low end torque.

When I was ridin Harleys, it was pretty evident that exhausts that ran seperately as two pipes were only good for top end power. Add a crossover pipe or a 2-1 pipe and loads of low end - the exhaust pulses seen by the other cylinders help scavenge the gasses from the engine.
