Default How much did you pay for your Turbo Forester

Looking at picking one up.

Its automatic for the wife.

No options.

I got a quote for around

24,800

Its few hundred higher than edmunds.com says is average. Think I can get one cheaper?

thanks

Bob.

Go to CarsDirect.com: http://www.carsdirect.com/home and get their price (including selected accessories) for your location. Print out that web page. Go to your favorite dealer and ask if they will match that price (best to talk only to their internet/fleet sales manager). I got my XS Premium for $500 under invoice this way.

I got mine for $24,439 which included:
5 spd
armrest extension
security upgrade
autodimming mirror/compass
spoiler

I may have been able to get a better price, but i'm not the haggling type. But considering MSRP for a base model is over $25k, I think I did alright. I did everything via email and phone and never stepped foot in the dealer until the day I picked it up.

I got my FXT with the Premium Package for $500 less than the
invoice quoted by Edmunds in December. Check around the various dealers in your area. I found the car I wanted through the Subaru web site. On Subaru's site you can search for the dealers in your area. You can then look at their current inventory.
When you find a car you want with the equipment you want, you can send the dealer a note that you are interested in that car. I did this and got two dealers to offer me the car for $500 under
invoice. Let your fingers to the walkin' and talkin'.

I could have gotten $500 under (the BEST I've heard of ever was $600 under invoice on an FXT) but I would have had to go two hours away to get it. And it was silver and I preferred white. I called Subaru 800 and was told there were only 2 white in all of California !! So I bought one of them for $200 under invoice. I still can't figure out if the tight supply on white was/is because they are so desirable or because they have a small demand and few are made ..... ?????
