Default need a turbo for 2001 legacy

Just recently purchased a 2001 legacy gt, 5spd with 60000kms on it and im wondering if anyone has either heard of or done a turbo upgrade with a 2001 2.5. Or has anyone seen a engine swap with the 2.5 turbo out of either the new foresters or even the baja. Any information would be greatly appreciated, thx.

well, i obviously beat the guy who is gonna say READ FAQ's first... so your lucky.

Turbocharging your Legacy will not be very different from us doing this to our RS's and such. Yes it can be done, and some with good results.

Largest problems are gonna be the low amount of boost you can run due to open deck, high compression, RS block... Although, there are some guys on this board making mad power and boost on a stock block.

Yes, you can swap in an STI motor. At this point, most of us recommend it over building a mild RS or WRX block.

Read FAQ's to find out what you will need to do for both of these projects, as I dont feel like re-typing all that is written.
