Post SYMS shifter, a question

Ok I just install this last night. I just have one question. When I took the nut out of the bushing on the stock linkage, it was hardly tight at all, I could almost take it off with my fingers. When I put the SYMS stuff in there, I put that nut on pretty snug. I know that the shifting is going to smooth out in a while, but I was wondering if I should have put that on so tight? Because it's pretty hard to shift right now, especially when going into second, and third. Thanks for any help.

Nevermind, I found some pictures of what the bushings should look like, and I had put that little plate on backwards. Really makes it hard to shift that way.

I have the syms shifter and think its great...I talked to Paul Eklund of Primitive Racing and he was saying "I don't know why people buy the syms because its only the stock shifter with a kartboy type bushing and a slight bend in the shift arm". Does anyone want to buy my stock shifter w/ a Kartboy bushing and a slight bend for...$200:-)
