YES!!!! Cdn and US bumper beam VERY different. YOu could "cutdown" the Cdn beam to fit, but you will effectiovely have zero bumper integrity up front.

schlong8 did the "cut" beam on his car. Send him a PM and ask what was involved.

ive been following a couple threads on this that are on the go right now and ive found that on subaruparts.com that the skin is 168us and the lightweight beam is 68us, but youd probably be hooped if you got into an accident by your insurance if they found out as its not street legal, but neither is a hacked up beam. i think ill spend the 110us for the proper one when it comes time.

oh and youll need the lights to go with it.

consider getting the proper rebar doing the bumper conversion. cutting the cdn rebar enough to clear the US spec bumper cover will leave it with zero strength. i was involved in a front end collision last year running a cut rebar which twisted on impact..

Funny, funny, funny Sideways.
Get the proper rebar. The lightweight one has no impact resistance at all.

The you're better off keeping the Candian bumper Sideways. It it much stronger. It holds up well to speed of about 30kph w/o bending. Yes I have proven it, w/ a tree. The tree lost that battle. but I needed a new skin - small price for a HUGE "off".

Agreed. That being said, when will you need a rebar. I'm getting a couple (just rebars), I could order yours as well if they have any left. Pm me S-S.
